What if when c!Ranboo first came to the dsmp they were as unfamiliar with the concept of nicknames as they were with pronouns? It would be so funny
Tubbo: "Hey, bossman!"
Ranboo: "What? But I'm not- I'm not your boss? Wouldn't you be the boss because you're like... the president?"
Cue Tommy and Tubbo having to explain it to them
Also I don't think they gave people nicknames much? So I think they were just too nervous to try and come up with one because what if the person they call that doesn't like it

So if we know that Boo was basically half of c!Ranboo, their mind to be specific, then what was "Oh you would've hated me when I was alive. Such an annoying piece of crap!" about?
If the ghost is part of them was that thought always there?
Thinking about techno dying his hair with redstone. Theres no other thought process here i just think thats a funny way for him to get his specific pink hue he’s just straight up pouring redstone into his bleach
I mean like its always fun when people brainstorm reasons his hair is pink sometimes its like ya thats just the side effect of being a demigod or like ya its dyed with the blood of his enemies but im raising a new one to the table fellas hes putting redstone into his hair. He also has a faint redstone signal because of this
wil holds a lightbulb up to techno’s hair and it lights up
This is how they lit up pogtopia. Clearly
now im just imagining wilbur taking clippings of technos hair to make shitty redstone torches
you live in the GROUND asshole you can find coal but no you gotta take your brother's hair to make your emo lighting
Technos hair is braided and used as a fuse for the network of explosives. Wilbur simply takes it from the brush techno uses.
OH THE ANGST POTENTIAL FOR THAT
Wilbur knowing he would ask Phil to kill him (i know its a stretch shh) weaves technos hair and some of Tommy's hair symbolically so that their whole family can, in a way, burn together
Yes. Alternatively silly. You hold a torch up to his hair or play with it and it lights up rapunzel style or like redstone ore thats been stepped on.
Sometimes in the darkest corners of pogtopia, you can see a slight glow, illuminating a haunted revolutionary. His fingers are entangled in his brother’s hair as he messily braids it. It’s nothing compared to the elegant braids Wilbur once adorned him with. Instead it bares the hallmarks of a man not completely there anymore, fingers following listlessly in habit more than anything intentional.
do we think pogbur uses technos hair for torches and fuel because when he feels the meagre warmth it makes him. think of his brother
Warmth reminds him of techno, as the piglin is a living furnace. Wilbur remembers crawling in Techno’s lap and falling asleep there as a toddler. It’s one of his earliest memories. It was also one of his last memories, a fuzzy, hard to grip thing, more like a dream than anything is substance. But he could have sworn that at least once in Pogtopia he’d briefly stirred to find himself curled up against a soft cape, or even perhaps a particular piglin’s lap.
Though that was likely simple wishful thinking. After all, he had called for The Blood God, not the brother he remembered.
I have an update as one of my chosen siblings did amazing art for this writing. Art done by Akleni!
Listen I understand why many people find Jon's paranoia thoughtless or even stupid. And I also get the people defending and justifying it (me included I'm a full time Jon defender). But in all the discussions about Jon's behaviour everyone seems to forget that no matter how irrational his actions may have seemed at the time, in the end he was literally right. One of his coworkers WAS an imposter. Someone in his close environment DID kill Gertrude. The world WAS out to get him specifically. Calm and rational reasoning be damned my man was spot on
Consider: insecure Godling Techno.
Techno who was taken in by Phil because he is the next Blood Godling, and Mumza tasked Phil to raise Techno to prevent him from growing up like his predecessors (Sir Billiam). He is raised to follow duty, to be loyal, and fighting is seen as inevitable and a skill one must hone.
He was born a destined to be a soldier and one day when the universe decides he is ready, he will be a god. But he isn’t ready yet. He is over 200 years old now and still hasnt ascended and gained his secondary title. (God of Blood and Justice for example or in sir Billiam’s case, God of Blood and Wealth). He has honed his skills under Phil’s tutelage, been sharpened to a knifepoint in strategic thinking and war tactics. Fought wars, demolished nations, and yet he still isn’t a god. He still somehow isn’t ready.
Technoblade sitting there, looking at the ashes of all he’s destroyed and wondering “was it all for naught?” What if he never ascends?
He can’t afford to entertain those kind of thoughts.
So he sharpens his weapons. Tends to his animals. Makes tea with Phil but inside, he is but an anxious young adult waiting and trying to fulfil a duty and crown that has yet to fall on his head.
Blood for the blood god, and yet, there is no god. Not yet. Because Techno simply isn’t ready and worst of all, doesn’t understand why he isn’t enough.
What is he doing wrong?
Now consider Wilbur. Son of the Angel of Death and Death herself. Phil has been tasked with raising the next blood god, and Wilbur comes along a bit accidentally mid way into Techno’s training. Phil has never been a parent before, and never anticipated he would be. But now he has both babe and Blade to raise.
So what does Phil do? He raises his son like he did Technoblade. Teaching him morality, justice, duty and loyalty. First steps walking leads into swinging a sword at practice dummies. Archery, daggers, every weapon that once was held in Techno’s young hands pass into Wilbur’s soft, child’s palm.
Wilbur, who’d much rather strum a guitar, draws back the string of a bow. Who’d rather write and sing poetry is praised when he picks up a book about politics and policy.
Wilbur who is so built for war, doesn’t know how to function without it when he leaves home early. He takes Tommy with him, and they end up in army camps. He starts at the bottom, quickly working his way up, because what fourteen year old can quote military tactics from 200 years ago?
Soon he is a General. And yet, not once, did anyone ask what Wilbur wanted. He is made in his brother’s image. Yet there is no crown for him to inherit. No grand title.
It haunts him.
Tommy. Finally Tommy. He is sheltered from the burden of the crown his brothers bear. And yet he has his own struggles. He grows up in soldier camps and is spitfire because of it. Skinned palms and knees, dirty faces and hard tack rations. His food is unseasoned or over seasoned, as Wilbur can’t taste it all too well.
He grows up without the full stomach, and without assured safety that Phil could provide, but he grows up free of the burden the others carry. He is a wild child and responsibility is not a word he knows.
Wilbur wouldn’t have him know it. Not yet.
He shields Tommy as best he can but the boy grows a tongue of acid when it comes to swearing. He spits curses like a weathered soldier and while friendly, is slow to make friends. Not many children in the army camps, and two, if you make friends with a soldier, there’s a good chance they’re not coming back. So Tommy bonds with Wilbur and bonds hard. They’re inseparable.
So Tommy follows Wilbur into revolutions, into skirmishes, into battlefields and war. He follows Wilbur to the ends of the earth and finally to the end of Wilbur’s life.
For all Wilbur did, trying to raise Tommy away from duty and the burdens of purpose and being a weapon, he still raised a soldier.
And then we also have Fundy, Wilbur's son, who was shielded and protected from all of it successfully
But then it was Fundy diving head first into politics, becoming a spy in Schlatt's office by himself
It was Fundy dreaming of becoming president instead of his father
It was Fundy participating in the butcher army, in Las Nevadas, in anything where people would take him seriously, not treat him like he was still a baby
So no matter how much Wilbur tried it seems like it all just runs in the family
Thinking about enderwalk!Ranboo and c!Dream having a student-mentor dynamic
Ranboo first appearing on the dsmp with no memories of who they were before. Then something triggers their enderwalk state and they can't communicate with anyone anymore other than Dream because he happened to know enderian
He saw it as an opportunity and taught the young enderman the way to live. The lessons were so important to enderwalk!Ranboo that they remembered them even in their awake state
Dream planned to only use them but got attached anyway. But he can't get attached to anyone, it would be a weakness
So as he was running away from the prison he never once looked back at his student bleeding out onto the grass, not even knowing their life was the price of freedom for their mentor
