after everything that happened between us, is it idiotic of me to hope that i’ll be that one person who you never stop loving? that person who you still talk about even after twenty years? that person who you thought would be your forever? would you tell them how i loved you more than any word could ever express? how i knew every minuscule detail about you from your favourite type of cake; to your largest pet peeve; to the things that never failed to make you laugh? or maybe none of this ever mattered to you. maybe there’s someone else who will love you in a way that i guess i never could. but is it wrong of me to hope that i’m that one person you talk about with your kids as your first love? i want our love to go down in history, more importantly yours. history is something that cannot be erased but i’m scared you’ll find a way to do so. you were always good at doing the impossible. your name has been carved into my heart and for that sole reason, these memories of you, of us, can’t ever fade away. because no matter what, you will always be that one person that i’ll still be talking about in the years to come. that one person who i won’t ever be able to stop loving.
