He’d never actually twisted his ankle before; it was surprising how painful it had been. Bruce had been at his side the moment he’d fallen, despite having geared up for another long night looking for the magic user who’d hexed Superman into this vulnerable humanness.

“I know it’s a novel concept to you, Clark, but gravity isn’t a suggestion for the rest of us.” Bruce stated as cool fingertips checked over the warmth of the sprain. “Sit, I’ll wrap it.”

The last thing Clark wanted Bruce to do, was worry over him, but the moment he’d been whammied by the spell, Bruce had brought him back to the safety of the BatCave, vowing to fix this, worried that being human was the worst thing Clark could ever experience.

But it wasn’t.

Being Human without the naseating affect of Kryptonite, or the dampening of all of his senses and abilities under oppressive red sunlight made him feel, lighter, somehow. Sure he missed being able to fly wherever he wanted, and he couldn’t hear anyone cry for help from miles away if they needed him, but Bruce’s hands were on his ankle, gently tending to his injury, and how could Clark ever view that as the worst thing to ever happen to him?

Summary:

Clark can't have sex with Lois without picturing Bruce instead. Of course, he feels incredibly guilty but doesn't know what to do about it. After a gruesome fight, Bruce calls Clark for help, which Clark answers in a heartbeat. Almost losing his best friend makes something snap in Clark, and he kisses him. To his surprise, Bruce returns it with passion. They throw all their precautions out the window and give in to their selfish desires, not thinking of the aftermath.

Plot heavily inspired by Lizzy McAlpine's Pushing It Down and Praying.
