the whole “Americans with [insert european] ancestry arent really that because theyre not FROM or born in that country” thing is so foreign to me because ive seen my asian aunties and grandma adopt people who arent even asian. if you have even a DROP of asian dna then youre simply one of us i guess. being exclusionary is so bizarre.

the one thing that confused me about maybe happy ending is Hwaboon.

like we know that helperbots can't come in contact with water or they'll short circuit (the drink that Gil gives Oliver) and Oliver's room is most likely just that living area because he doesn't need to sleep, eat, or use the restroom, so there aren't any sinks in his room. We also don't see him using water to brush his teeth. So where does he get the water to water Hwaboon?

are helperbots able to just magically create water? does he collect rain from outside? personally I think Oliver is also Harry potter in another Darren Criss universe which is how he gets the water.

Oliver canonically sneaks out to collect bottlecaps for money, he probably collects water as well and is very careful about it.
