As someone who is internationally adopted, the dating scene sucked when I partook in it. Young men who were curious about my background asked “where are you from?” Right as I was getting to know them. I fear that I came off insecure because I wasn’t comfortable telling people I was adopted during the first meetings. I’m still not when strangers ask me questions like that. It’s not their business because my adoption is personal.
