If you have never struggled with your mental health, then you do not know how difficult it is to accept you are struggling. You don't know how difficult it is to admit you are in need of help.

There are many people who have mental issues who never find the courage to tell even their best friends or closest family members. You don't know the shame, embarrassment, or feelings of failure that shake you to the core and make you hide during a time when you should be reaching out.

Whether you like Ryan or not, admit is not easy to put a face to the struggle, especially when millions of eyes are on you.

Mental health crises and struggles are not funny or to be used against people.

Major respect for being able to stand in front of the public and speak about the darkest time in your life.

Ten years ago, an apartment fire in Minnesota almost took my life. And there were times I wish it had. It did for 148 other people. Including the one I was supposed to walk though life with. She never even made it to the hospital. So now I walk alone.
