wow chronic illness! chronic pain!

rented a wheelchair for pride yesterday to reduce the risk of collapse like last year. yay for no collapse and overall less pain.

however - very dehumanising experience. rented a wheelchair and it was so big and way too heavy, it just made me feel a massive inconvenience all day. lovely wife was happy to help and push etc etc but it made me realise how dehumanising disability is all over again!

sudden and crippling realisation that actually a wheelchair would be so helpful. working through that realisation, deeply entrenched ableism and planning to speak to the OT about accessing something as i’m literally living no life. its been a busy sunday

googled active, lightweight wheelchairs. £8,000 new £2500 second hand 🙂 okay i guess i will never feel better or ever have independence

tumblr users with POTS/ EDS - how do you manage the heat. i feel awful. my average heart rate has been 125 today with the highest being 165 bpm. not on beta blockers as i need to be reviewed by my cardiologist first.
