he probably bragged soo much that he's a total chick magnet in real life but when he actually does catch someone's attention in that way he wants to disappear as quickly as possible LOL

TO ACTUALLY ANSWER YOUR QUESTION:

I think at first he'd just observe to see if Christine can deal with it herself - she's an adult, independent woman and a smart and blunt one at that, she can put her foot down just fine. If whoever is hitting on her is not catching the hint though? He's 100% inserting himself into the interaction with the grace and subtlety of a thrown brick lol.
