Until Sunday I’ve gotta finish 4 huge paintings… I was like “C’mon, I can do it” (I didn’t take the fact into account that I have never really painted on canvas). And after 6 hrs I’m stuck😂
My first thought when I finished it... Finally!!! To be honest, I’m a bit impatient when it comes to animating, but I must admit I kinda like working in Opentoonz. This is my first ever colourful animation, which is still rough around the edges, but we all start somewhere.
I had to create ten drawings of one topic trying to imitate the mezzotint printing technique for one of my classes - I wish they weren’t online cause I wanna print... I chose mushrooms because I had no ideas. I did so many research, it took me more time than drawing
So I’m trying to get my grade up from Painting class (yes, it is a drawing, but the class is quite flexible). I was told that I can soon start to draw portraits, but I have only one lesson left, so I decided to draw an ear, a nose and a mouth instead as a portrait would take me ages - and I’m also a bit afraid of drawing a portrait...
Took me a long time, but I have just finished it (finally)
When France and Japan meet😍
I painted these for my Illustration class. The task was to show six emotions - I chose kind, content, frightened, annoyed, curious and mopey. I got into penguins so much lately - since I have to prepare an animation in which my subject is a penguin chick. These are really basic, but it was a great time creating these and this time with watercolour pencils and not only with pencil in black and white. What a relief
I had to draw something abstract out of an ordinary object. I wanted the coffee grinder I’m currently working on but the deadline for this abstract project is literally this week... so I chose a drawing I did for the first semester - a candle. Might redo it digitally just for fun🤔 - and also ‘cause I guess it would look better
I’ve been working on it for quite a long time now, but still there’s a long way ahead-o-me. I don’t think I’ll ever choose such a difficult object to draw😂
My least favourite subject is Animaton. Not gonna lie, I’m not the most patient person ever so it isn’t surprising - I must add that for the project for my first semester I did a frame by frame animation in Photoshop and so I got sick of animating. However, this software has made my work much easier. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up creating cartoons (?)
Introduction
My first project I’m posting is ‘Four Seasons’. This is the first part - spring. At first this was about to be just a project for one of my classes, but I thought why not make three more representing the other seasons just for fun. Summer is coming soon.
