One of the more interesting aspects for us of all this is doing laundry. We live in a high rise with a communal laundry room in the basement.
It seems to us that people who don’t live in apartments with communal laundry rooms are baffled by how much effort is involved in all of this. (And I fully recognize we’re luckier than people in apartments *without* laundry who still need to go to laundromats.)
To minimize contact with others, we’ve been holding out longer in between trips downstairs and doing it late at night. As a result, I finished tonight’s laundry at 12:50am.
This is what’s involved in doing laundry for us:
Ride elevator to basement.
Ride elevator back upstairs.
Remove shoes in hall, step inside.
Carry shoes in, spray with Lysol.

Move laundry from washers to dryers.
