Well I’ve completely destroyed my sleep schedule because I’m sick and have slept for two days so here are some silly random things about me and my work. (Also I apologize if this makes no sense, I’m still in the mental fog lands.)

Yes, it’s true. I really thought Inky Mystery would only be forty chapters when I started. A LOT has changed since then lol.

I like basing magic systems off of science.

My fight scenes are inspired by anime. I am the type of person that ‘watches a movie’ mentally.

Music really helps my writing.

I love that a couple of people have noticed a few of the things in the story I left there years ago.

The fanart would have you think this story is full of romance and not the pile of messes that they are.

I have like three or four original works I’ve started or am researching so even when Inky Mystery is over I’ll still be writing.

I have based some characters off of real people. The latest “irl” addition was my cat Secret. Yes she is a menace. We love her.

One of my favorite hobbies is flipping a trope.

I devour books like candy. My main genre is horror, closely followed by fantasy.

Inky Mystery could have ended up on Fanfiction.net but I didn’t trust that Joey Drew Studios or Disney wouldn’t try to get it taken down.

Inky Mystery would have been more popular as a comic but it would have been to the quality of One Punch Man for art style and we’d probably still be in New Orleans with how slow I am.

I will not write another epic fanfic after this. Inky Mystery is the one and only. If I ever write something this long again, I’ll be getting paid for a series.

One person has guessed the ending of the series. Just one in its totality.

Rereading this series shows a lot of foreshadowing I do. I adore hints like that in good mysteries.

I have so many silly ideas for the future. My poor co-authors are just listening to me gab on and on. (They have fun too. I promise)

I have flipped a coin on the fate of some characters. I’m not joking.

I want to get better at descriptions. Really give a location personality.

Okay that’s enough yapping. This is just gonna prove I shouldn’t have a phone at this time of night no matter how awake I feel.

Outside of this tag game, something I have always noticed is that I like to start new stories/chapters with Character's Name as the first word. So it's something I've actively worked myself out out of. Like, genuinely, I kept going past this ten into other fics I've done, and almost all of them (SERIOUSLY) start with a character's name. And there's definitely nothing wrong with it. I just found it repetitive, and maybe a bit un-creative. However, I will argue that it does allow you to establish immediately who the PoV is lol. And even if it's not the first word, I still very clearly really like to have the character in the first line.

hmmmm, i guess based on the above and the other stuff I've written, I tend to like an action as the first sentence? Something that is actively happening. And I tend not to do a description first---6 is the only one that's a description and going past 10 into other fics, I rarely do that. Like I said, I seem to really like starting things off with the character itself.

I live in the environment where is being queer person is considered illegal. Existing as a trans or nonbinary person is literally considered as “extremist crime”.

Every day of my life I struggle, having no real safety even inside my own house, surrounded by my transphobic family, forced to hide important part of myself so I AM NOT fucking with people who have an AUDACITY to call my feelings wrong and make “responses” with their offensive drawings, misgendering me and complaining about how “sad” they are, because I love Viima and see my own story resembled in him. Juma’s take on identity is very comforting to me personally, and to a lot of queer people I am sure.
