âif youâre working a full time job you should be able to afford to live on your own and have access to food and transportationâ gonna be real with you brother. everyone deserves this. Not just people working 40 hrs a week
people inherently deserve to have a roof over their heads and to eat and live comfortably. not tied to whatever work they do or do not do. Shocking, i know
tuesday status?
yup. its tuesday đ
copy. tuesday confirmed â engaging tuesday protocol
partially-managed mental illness is so fucking funny i'll be sitting around doing my job and suddenly think "wow i hate myself" and immediately get confused because, like, that's not TRUE! i love myself so much. who are you to talk to me like that
happy disability pride month to those who rely on support from people who don't want to deal with them. to those who have to beg their loved ones for support. to those who have had others get tired of them and suddenly drop all support. to those who are barely hanging on because they need support from others and no one is willing to help them.
i hope we all get the help we need. i hope we'll all be okay. i love you.
I hate ai so much, so nasty and repulsive and low-vibrational
you are allowed to take up space. to be a little inconvenient. to have needs that don't fit neatly into someone else's schedule. the people worth keeping will make room. they'll be glad to. taking up space isn't a burden you place on them â it's the gift of letting them actually know you.
The term âsituationshipâ is KILLING romance!
Why take something beautiful and fascinating like an undefined impractical romance and describe it with some vape-esque word like situationship. A spiritually heterosexual word. Youâre supposed to write genre defining poetry about this kind of madness, and yet âsituationshipâ is the term weâre choosing to use these days. OKAY.
Make sure you don't accidentally punish people for communicating their needs and boundaries. When someone cares enough to have the uncomfortable conversation, that's a compliment and a clear sign that they are invested in the relationship. Yes of course it's uncomfortable to hear that something you've been doing has been upsetting someone you care about when that was never your intention, but people generally only bother to have these conversations with the people they want to keep around - the people they trust to care. If they just didn't like you, they'd probably just try to avoid you. So make sure you don't make it into a more punishing experience than it has to be. Try to see the care and the trust behind the criticism, even when it triggers uncomfortable emotions. It's a good sign that they're there telling you.
iâm such a âi want your attentionâ but âwonât bother youâ kinda person
[said with increasing amount of distress] i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this
Controversial take but I think we more often need to accept that sometimes itâs not personal, but that a person still doesnât fuck with us. They donât want a relationship with us, they donât wanna be our friend. Weâre not their type for whatever reason. They donât hate us but they arenât interested in building something with us in any capacity. Itâs not that they have a lot going on, itâs not that they canât receive love, itâs not what a lot of people concoct just not to deal with the sting of rejection. Sometimes weâre just not somebodyâs type. And thatâs okay and we donât have to curl up in fetal position in a corner about it. We will not be the type of every person we encounter and that is natural and nothing to lose sleep over
What's that quote...something something why do you expect everyone to like you, you don't like everyone
Not being someone's flavor is a good thing. If everyone found me "nice" or whatever, I'd not be me. I'd prefer to repel some people, ya know?
As a late birthday present I would like more lesbian mutuals pleak and thank you
