Kaja and Toby came with us to Fabric Friends and Dolls and scored some new clothes. Toby got new boots and some effing jeans that finally fit his giant muscular ass xD And Kaja got a nice jacket and some sparkly jeans he swear aren’t girly :P

Sheridan and Alwyn came with us on our visit to the Sierra mountains in California. The forests up there are beautiful!

Not the most doll related post, but I was visiting a gallery full of local artisans while on vacation in the Sierra mountains, and they had this message posted in their shop. They said I could repost it. I feel the message is a great reminder and is worth spreading around :)  and also I feel it applies to those who make our beloved BJDs (from the single artist to the ‘big’ companies who still use artists to make their sculpts). Not to mention faceup artists, seamstresses and modders. This is a hobby that would not exist without artists :)

Tell me doll owners, do you keep your dolls wearing under clothes?

I think more of mine wear body stockings to help prevent staining. Does that count? Not so much underwear, unless they have shorts or skirts where the body sock wouldn't work. When I finally add some girls to my collection, I am looking forward to getting some pretty lingerie though :P

My Withdoll ‘Alan, the Elf Assassin’ arrived! Been waiting since February, but am so glad he is here! ^____^

I have a lot of work I gotta do on him, such as giving him a faceup and sewing him his clothes (he’s got temporaries on right now). But he should be a fun project x3

Those Moonlit Song Luts centaurs... Why did you have to make those, Luts!? My dollie budget is currently drained, but they’re so cute... Why do I even want the clothes? I do not normally like the clothes! And why does my SO want TWO of each!?

Just finished a layaway!!!!! And realizing I don’t even have a name yet for the incoming doll... Hopefully I can come up with something while he ships :)

Doll Plan Tuesday

 we haven’t had one this year yet so let’s do this :D

so to those new to this: i love hearing people talk about what dolls they plan to buy next, what mods they want to do, what clothes they are gonna get, what miniatures you plan to get your hands on and so on!

What are your doll plans @eveningdreams8​ ? I have enjoyed reading what people are up to with their dolls!

I get to finish 2 layaways in May, so a WithDoll Alan and a LoongSoul Fierce Beast Tao Wu will be coming home soon and I am quite excited :) My SO also has her own Tao Wu coming home, so we’re trying to figure out styling for the two of them. She also will be getting a grail of hers, a Soom Sammi Elamander, secondhand. We’re gonna have a lot of face ups, body blushing and sewing to do. Mind boggling but fun!

I wish people would do more with the dolls they already have instead of buying more and more dolls!!! I want to see your collection all with clothes, wigs, and faceups instead of ten box opening in a month :(

I feel this way about my own collection. I’ll be trying to finish out a doll, then a LE or a secondhand sale of a wishlist doll comes into my life. You gotta decide if you wanna let it go or purchase. So then if you purchase a new doll, your current dolls don’t get any new clothes, hair, eyes, etc since your ‘little’ sum of money is currently caught up in payments or layaway for the new one. Then the new doll comes, but you see yet another doll you want suddenly... and the cycle viciously repeats! I had two LEs hit me back in January, which is actually kind of rare for me. My partner got caught up in secondhand listings too at that time. Either way, it delays our current dollie plans for a while. At least we have been working on face ups... that is, when the weather cooperates!
