First Ocrevus Treatment

I had my first half of my infusion today and it was less than stellar but I am still positive about the future. Don’t want to scare anyone away cause I’m absolutely sticking with Ocrevus but this is my first dosage experience!

So first mistake, I didn’t eat this morning. I was scheduled for 10am and by the time they started my saline flush or whatever to start, it was noon or 1230pm. I almost passed out. Got me good. Kept going.

So, they gave me Tylenol and my Benadryl iv and waited for that to kick in. I asked if we could do solumedrol for as need cause I was worried about having a reaction to the steriod so my doctor said that was cool. We started my infusion.

Started Ocrevus at 30ml ate my lunch, up to 60ml. I was good. Upped it to 90ml.

After they increased the dosage to 90ml, within 5 minutes, I started getting extremely cold. My mom was with me so she called to get me another blanket. I had 6 blankets on and was freezing, my throat was swelling/itching, chest was tight.

Told my mom call the nurse now and mom said by the time the nurse ran in I was blue. So, my nurse got in there, stopped my infusion, tried to get my vitals but she couldn’t before I threw up my entire lunch. They helped get me feeling fine. Mom was there helping me which I’m thankful for cause it happened so fast.

They gave me the solumedrol and it was good. So that was about an hour an a half. Then after that we increased steadily. Waited for my one hour observation. I left at 640pm. So next time I’ll do the solumedrol first, and hope it goes better in two weeks!

I have my first infusion on Friday. I haven’t been on tumblr in two years. I was diagnosed with MS in June. So, I’m starting treatment. I hope I feel better cause right now all I do is sleep all day. And work, and come home from work exhausted.

It can’t be cured, but at least this treatment can hopefully keep me from getting worse.

Since I posted last forever ago... Jonathan and I got a mini jack puppy and named her Sophie. We have had her almost a month and she's about 12 weeks ago. We love her so much. It was a positive step in our relationship. 😍

Never in my life had I ever felt such an intense feeling like we were the only two standing alone together until the other night when we left from supper we kissed goodbye and when we pulled back from each other and said, “I love you” in unison. And he followed up with an “I love you, more.” For a few seconds I completely forgot I was standing in the Chili’s parking lot.

This is the love of my life. For every batshit crazy thing I've done. For every tear I've cried for no reason. For every thing from beginning to now, he still loves me. There is no reason why he should still love me, but he does. Love of my life. This year makes five in March.

I'm pretty excited for this year because Jonathan and I may get a puppy soon if they application goes through and we are suitable adopters for this cute puppy whom I was going to name bubbles but his name at the humane society is Graham so I decided I could call him Graham Cracker and or we will rename him Roscoe.

Crock Pot BBQ Cocktail Sausages

New recipe! Now, these cocktail sausages would have been a hit with my family today had they not spilled all over my car floorboard this morning as I was going to drop them off with my mom before I went to work. I’m glad I tasted one when I cooked them. So, I didn’t get a picture but I’m sure you know what they look like. (If not, google it)

Ingredients: 1 28oz package of cocktail sausages 1 bottle of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce 4 tablespoons of grape jelly 4 tablespoons of ketchup 1 pinch of salt 1 pinch of pepper

First dump the entire bottle of bbq sauce into the crock pot and add the four tablespoons of grape jelly and add four tablespoons of ketchup. Throw a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper into the crock pot as well. Stir together and add in the cocktail sausages. Cook on high for 2 ½ hours or on low for about 5- 6 hours.

Before they became inedible laying all over my car floorboard, I did get a lick of the sauce and snagged a sausage. I really enjoyed the flavor it was bbq with a little bit of a kick.

They would have been at hit at my aunt’s house tonight but, alas, a tragedy.

Living alone

Is kinda cool. But also boring. I'm finally getting used to be here alone and not freaking out as much. Feeling like an adult or something.

And it's so delicious! I'm going to use my crock pot as often as I can!
