Ladies, and gents; please, please, CHECK YOUR BREASTS; and, if anything is different, anything just doesn't seem right, please go to your GP. I am a 32 year old single mum, breast cancer is rife in my family, so when something was off with my left breast, off to my doctor I went. This lead to swabs, ultrasound, an MRI, more ultrasound and a 3D mammogram (awesome machine pictured). Next week is another specialist appointment, hopefully with all test results and a plan in place on going monitoring. I am also still waiting on my appointment at the Royal Women's Hospital, for gene counselling to be tested for BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes; the results of which will more determine further preventative plans. My risk factor for breast cancer is classed as high, my case classed as category 1; I'm lucky I have access to this medical care, and have my support network. So far all signs are showing benign, again, lady luck on my side. But, what if it wasn't, and I ignored it? If it was bad, we'd have caught it early enough. I'm lucky this time, many aren't. CHECK YOUR TITTIES is the moral of my story. Check, and take action. #cancer #breastcancer #boobs #awareness #mystory #mri #ultrasound #mammogram #boobies #titties #check #medical #medicalstories #risk #brca1 #brca2 #familyhistory #riskfactor #doit #breastcancerawareness #lucky #takeaction #prevention #educate #copafeel #breasts #robe #scary #worthit #ididit #checktakeaction #tests #mumlife #momlife #important #publicserviceannouncement #psa #health #share #knowledge
