2020 for me it’s a year of pain.
Pain because I had to learn how to let go of people that I loved but did not sum to my mental health and my growth.
Pain of overcoming my own fears. Pain of losing things. Pain of feeling lonely. Pain of facing the truth that I already knew.
Pain...pain for me has been such an eye opener. Pain has made me grow. Pain has made me strong. Pain has made me the person I am and has showed me exactly who I do not want to become.
Pain, has always been part of my life, and I always felt bad, guilty, sad and depressed. But without all this pain I would have never realized what I’m worth and who I really am.
2020 the year of self nourish, self love, self awareness, self growth, self acceptance, self forgiveness.
Pain is my constant reminder of why I am who I am and that with love, forgiveness and compassion you can overcome anything.
People are so afraid of pain and accepting it, because we are afraid of being vulnerable. But being vulnerable and naked to the world, and being able to accept it, is the most wonderful thing it can happen to every single one of us.
One of my angels once told me, “vulnerability opens up others peoples path to give and your turn to receive. You see, if we are not able to be vulnerable we will never let the giver give and we will be blocking their path. It’s a circle, you give, you receive. And you let others receive back.” I am so blessed!
Pain is amazing, for me is the most real feeling that exists, it can be so big that you feel it in your bones, the thing about pain is that it can be addictive. We should feel it when it comes, accept it, understand where it’s coming from, realize the cause, learn and let it go. Do not hold on to it.
You see no pain, no growth, no realization, no learnings, no real happiness. We all need to make mistakes, learn from them and grow.
Pain has though me vulnerability, resilience, self love, forgiveness, acceptance, letting go, healing and most important that my mental health is the most important thing in my life without it I will always be lost and never be happy. This journey is just beginning but it’s definitely going towards a place of love, light and peace. There is no space for egos, envy, jealousy, insecurities, hatred or negativity. This is a place for healing a place for compassion, a place of forgiveness and a place for love. All good is welcome!
I wish this new year we learn to be more resilient, live more in peace, learn to forgive, to love all and respect all and most important of all wish we learn to take care of our home the Earth! Wothout her we wouldn’t be here.
Going into 2021 with eyes closed and my arms and heart open to whatever the universe has for me.
It feels so nice to walk around the city streets and notice the blossoming trees and beds of flowers. Awareness is a recurring theme...it is important to practice the act of actively noticing new things, becoming aware of our moment to moment flow, and staying mindful in our fast paced world. Our natural state of being is like the sun, which is always shining, always present, yet often obscured by our clouds of thought. Take some time to actively notice and to be aware and present in each moment. Notice the flowers in the cracks of your sidewalk, feel the warmth of the sun, smell your morning coffee, and feel the vibrations of your sound environment. Every moment is your moment and every moment is an opportunity for joy, bliss, and happiness. It’s all within you, you ray of light. With the full moon upon us, it’s time to complete that cycle of change and get rid of that which is no longer serving you. Perhaps this means tying up some loose ends, maybe finishing that book you’ve put off to the side, finally doing that cross country road trip or that retreat you've been wanting to do, or just finally allowing yourself to fully blossom and BE, releasing the negativity from your life. We are most alive when we are discovering new things, when we are dwelling in the present, and feeling the magic right in front of us. So feel the magic this week and bring awareness to all that is within you and around you. Make that change! ❤️✨😊 (at Brooklyn Botanic Garden)
The flowers are in bloom, bursting with life again, and it feels so magical and exciting! The change in season is always a good time to pause, reflect, and manifest any changes you want to see within your inner world and the once you love. The time is now to realize your potential and blossom into the being you already are on the inside. Be vulnerable, Be honest, Be sincere. Put yourself out there. Listen to your inner voice. Let your spirit guide you. Live your life the way YOU want to live it. It’s time to release all that is no longer serving you and call in all that you want (AND DESERVE!). As we begin to remove heavy layers of clothing, we feel lighter, brighter, and renewed. Be patient with yourself as you remove these layers but know that they are ready to be released and LET GO. The time is now and you have all the answers, don’t forget that. Trust yourself, exercise patience, and breathe in the new. 🌷💖 "Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change" - Brene Brown. (at New York, New York)
“It’s about living in the moment and appreciating the smallest things. Surrounding yourself with the things that inspire you and letting go of the obsessions that want to take over your mind. It is a daily struggle sometimes and hard work but happiness begins with your own attitude and how you look at the world.” -Gretchen Rubin, The Happiness Project Open your heart to the world always with good intentions and good things will come your way 😊❤️ (at Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepequez)

🌷🌹...The fresh Spring energy is here, with it's lightness and brightness. There's always an adjustment period in between the seasons, so be gentle with yourself and support healthy new patterns. Imagine yourself as a bud about to open, what nourishes you to bloom this season..? Be extra compassionate with yourself and others! Give some extra hugs and smiles, and take extra loving care of yourself.✨💖 "Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens." - Carl Gustav Jung (at The High Line)

Anytime you blame others and complain about your situation, you are choosing to be a victim. By playing the victim role you are putting yourself in an ineffective and weak position. It is virtually impossible to allow incredible miracles to enter your life when you choose to remain in this negative mental state.

I am so unbelievably proud of you. Every day you get out of bed even though all you want to do is stay under the covers. Every day you take a shower, you get dressed, you put food in your body, and you leave the safety of your home for the chaos of this world. To me that’s an act of profound bravery. You are choosing to live and try despite your tiredness, hopelessness, and brokenness. You cling to the light instead of the dark. You leave your comfort zone every day for the unknown. I’m proud of you. I hope you are proud of you. I hope you know how those seemingly little acts of courage are really the greatest moments of bravery. I hope that you will continue to rise each day and live your life. Thank you for living. Thank you for staying. Thank you for fighting. Thank you for trying. Thank you for being in this world with me. Thank you for holding on when you want to let go. Thank you for trusting in tomorrow. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I am so proud of you. These words cannot explain the depths of gratefulness I feel for your life. I pray that you would always rise just as the sun does every morning in the blue sky.
With a whole lot of love,
Dele

1. Cut your hair every now and then. Fresh starts are always nicer than you think. Who needs split ends anyways. 2. Pick a song you really like. Listen to that song a lot. And I mean a lot. Dance around your room naked to that song, beat the song lifeless till it annoys the hell out of you. Then pick a new song and go through the same process. We all need to really hear music, we need to understand what the song we are listening to is really about. 3. Paint your toes black, make it as perfect as possible. Then, scratch it off. Remember nothing is permanent. 4. Go on a run with your dog. Try to race him and beat him. Realize you can out run many things. Then go back and pet your dog, realize that some things you need to go back for. 5. Decorate a plain backpack. Glue on sparkles, glitter, diamonds, newspaper and magazine clippings, lace & ribbon, anything else that may fancy you. Remember, you don’t have to be the same person you were a minute ago. 6. Buy some pretty lights and string them up in your room. Turn off all the lights except for one when you go to bed. Remember it isn’t always dark and lonely. Change your perspective. 7. Lay outside one night. Breathe in breathe out. Accept that you are only one person and cannot do everything at one time. You can take your time. The creator of the stars you’re looking up at did not do it all in one day. Pace yourself. 8. Get up every morning and stand in front of the mirror. Naked, fully clothed, backwards, upside down, who cares how, just do it. Observe yourself. Notice the wrinkles under your eyes from laughing a lot. Count your freckles. Admire your ass. Then name 3 things you love about yourself. You need to love yourself.
