thinking how one of the reasons angry women are so alarming to be around is that the cultural narrative is that women are deeply stupid and can’t direct their anger in any kind of targeted or intelligent way: a woman experiencing anger is like a toddler waving a loaded pistol and any sign of visible anger on her person (flat affect, furrowed brows, tenseness) is exactly like being shot by that toddler.

🏳️🌈 LGBTQ Pride Mags #6: The Lesbian Tide, August 1971.
Published from 1971-80, The Lesbian Tide was the first national lesbian newspaper and the first periodical with the word lesbian in the title. Originally started as a newsletter for the LA chapter of the Daughters of Bilitis, it split off in December 1972 under the leadership of editor Jeanne Cordova, who was also a noted activist for lesbian and gay civil rights. The Lesbian Tide struggled financially, publishing monthly until 1974 and then bi-monthly afterwords. For many years the paper’s tagline was “A Feminist Publication, Written by and for the Rising Tide of Women Today.”
See a great gallery of almost all The Lesbian Tide covers, plus some complete downloadable issues here.

12 years ago I made a vine that went viral on social media with my then 1 year old cat… and after many requests over the years, it's time to do a follow up!
So here we are! Yama the cat and Kdin the human 12 years later. Yama is still the same, and I've uh… changed a lot!
Americans are posers if all those guns really were for defending yourselves from tyranny almost every politician in the nation would have had a full mag pumped into them by now.
certain emotions are status symbols in toxic households: only the highest members are allowed to be angry or sad.
why’s that person so upset with you for being angry or sad? you’re putting your grabby little fingers on something someone with your low status isn’t supposed to touch.
certain people can also gain status and soothe themselves by civilizing you into the feelings you’re supposed to be having. they don’t have to manage their own feelings because the feelings they desire naturally arise from the process of making you feel what you’re allowed to feel.
wait where the fuck is that knockoff korean lego set of that japanese politician getting assassinated
