There’s a lot to love about this scene. The eye!sex, all the touching and that last scene, I can’t. 

So, it wasn’t a kiss.  I think Omega gave as much as Kurumada would allow to show that there’s something going on off-screen. And I’m very OK with that. Season 2 was full of deliberate little moments here and there to show us the nature of their relationship. 

Can we talk about that last shot? The blue sky, the Sun shining down on them, the Sanctuary as background with no one around, the breeze gently blowing their hair and Saori’s dress… It’s textbook setting for a romantic scene. Such a contrast to what we always get from them: it’s not a fleeting hug while everything around them is crumbling down, he’s not carrying her after rescuing her, Pallas’s bracelet is no longer there, every single excuse of “Saint’s duty” can NOT apply to that scene. Plus, if there were any doubts from episode 92 that Saori returns Seiya’s feelings, this scene shot that down too.

So, THANK YOU Omega, for validating the first ship I’ve ever shipped and still the one I ship the most. Let’s hope LoS and ND take things even further.

Now the question is, what happened after this? Well… After that they went back to the Sagittarius house, because they have unfinished business since episode 63.
