Liberals after elections always turn to eugenics when they lash out. Hoping for the ultimate demise of a large group of people (Florida and Texas or Flint, Michigan) without acknowledging that in a climate disaster the rich will have no issue moving out of the impacted area. The only people dying in a climate disaster are the poor and disabled. Disenfranchised folx that also actively experience vote suppression in these areas.

Y’all go on tangents about how Flint better not ask for clean water after voting Red. Or how Florida will be a blue state when it’s underwater. And you think you’re funny?? But if I call you out on being a racist and classist I get an earful about how you can’t possibly be either of those things because you’re a Good Liberal™ (no such thing sorry) Doesn’t matter how you voted, red, blue, gold, green, or not at all. Resorting to ableism, eugenics, and environmental racism in response to election results shows your total disregard for the disabled and disenfranchised.

Stop viewing election results as a condemnation for an entire area when you are privileged enough to be able to get to your voting place or have a home to have a mail in ballot sent to. Stop directing your anger at a general population and actually assist your communities, do the work, organize people, bring awareness to voter suppression in disenfranchised communities. If we have strong communities then we can help other communities become strong as well. The little blue and red people will not save you. The dems won’t protect you and neither will the republicans. Stop relying on them and rely on each other I have no idea how y’all haven’t gathered this yet.

The Attack on the Twin Towers

“Organise!” Anarchist Discussion Listserve, September 14, 2001. The twin towers fell 20 years ago and 2,977 people were killed. Since then, the 20 years long now war has claimed a total death toll (as of Nov. 2018) of 479,858 to 507,236.

The U.S. has done evil deeds abroad and now an evil deed was done to the U.S. As a New Yorker I am deeply affected by the attacks on the World Trade Towers (I am more ambivalent about the Pentagon attack, although opposing it). Like most people, I feel deep sympathy for the thousands dead, most of them working class, “white collar” and “blue collar,” many of them poor workers, often people of color. And I fear the right-wing turn which the attackers have facilitated, the spread of super-patriotism and anti-Arab, anti-Muslim, sentiments.

The mighty technology of capitalist industrialism was used against us. Gigantic buildings, made in an effort to create the “world’s tallest buildings,” were turned into death traps for thousands. Supersonic jet planes, with their enormous power and fuel tanks, were turned into missiles of death by kamikaze fanatics. The over-centralized technology, which has been destroying the balance of nature, has shown another aspect of its deadly vulnerability.

The attackers do not realize the damage they have done to the cause of anti-imperialism. The U.S. population is enormously ignorant of world politics. They believe that the U.S. (“we”) only does good to other nations. They are completely puzzled by the hostility of foreigners. They know nothing about the U.S. role in the Middle East. To them, it was a bolt out of the blue, and they react by fury and increased chauvinism.

In their hatred of U.S. imperialism, I agree with the attackers (I am assuming for now that they are probably Muslim nationalists). But I disagree with the program they have adopted to fight imperialism, a program which includes this mass murder of workers, theocratic dictator-ship or secular statism, and often the extreme oppression of women. They think in terms of national blocs: because they have a (real) grievance against the U.S. rulers, they feel justified in killing any U.S. people at all, even workers who have no control over U.S. world policy. And much of the U.S. population responds in a mirror image, national-bloc, way: because supposedly some Arabs/Muslims attacked them, they blame all Arabs and Muslims, and are prepared to kill all of them. This nationalist form of thinking is a curse, both for the oppressed and for the oppressor peoples.

We Leftists and revolutionaries can put this monstrous evil in the context of worldwide suffering. But we must not harden our hearts to the suffering and pain of so many right now in New York. We must not let abstractions of “class” and “imperialism” get in the way of a human response. We are right, but should not fall into self-righteousness. The desire of working people to help each other and support each other in a time of crisis has been wonderful, and we should be part of that. Meanwhile we must do all we can to oppose the tide of nationalist hatred and especially to defend Arabs and Muslims in the U.S. from attacks. We must be prepared to oppose the coming U.S. war.

Getting a bit ramble-y here:

It’s insane to me that working class people will idolize the rich and put down other working class people, or support the rich in the degradation of the working class. You’d think humans could recognize self sabotage at this point but you’d be wrong. This saddens me in a way very few other things do.

It’s watching self destruction on larger scale than just yourself or your friend group. It takes self sabotage and self destructive behavior out of the realm of mental health or relationships with others and into the realm of the every day. We self sabotage ourselves via the climate every day. We watch people dedicated to a 246 year old paper more than their fellow human choose what ifs over the reality of life right now.

It feels helpless sometimes, like yelling into the void. People who can see an obvious problem, can state what the problem is, yet do nothing to address it.

“It’s mental health” yet mental health care is not accessible.

“It’s guns” yet no revisions or restrictions on gun ownership have been done.

“It’s upbringing” yet poor or no resources or services to help parents.

This government does not care about us. Connect with your communities, build networks through community care.

Fuck relying on these companies and entities and governments to do anything to help us, protect us, care for us. Because they do not care about us.

Native Land is a resource to learn more about Indigenous territories, languages, lands, and ways of life. We welcome you to our site.

A reminder to everyone that this Indigenous led group exists! I encourage you all to utilize this resource to educate yourself as to whose land you are on. The area in which I live is originally called Lenapehoking which is Lenape land and I hope more people recognize this and work to bring back the indigenous peoples who were forced out of their homeland and up to the reservation in Oklahoma. In order to live on this planet and in the future, multiple planets, we must do so ethically and without the colonial, imperial mindset with which CEO's with their Dildo rockets have towards human expansion. We cannot own that which is not ours. We did not make the Earth, rather, Terra birthed us. We have a responsibility to heal the wounds and trauma to the Earth that we caused, that includes Land Back.

Educate yourself and reach out to local tribal communities if you are able to. If your local tribe was relocated to a reservation far from their homeland, reach out and ask how you can support their efforts, especially any historic preservation and environmental goals as often after colonial removal of tribes, the government still prioritizes corporate capitalism over humans and accountability.

I never wanted to live this life, I never wanted this to be the world my child was born into. A world where we are still fighting to right the wrong of people long dead. But their wrongs run so deeply, so entwined and rooted into our country, our constitution, our outlooks on life.

But if you haven't yet, I encourage every activist, every person with a heart that can be opened to the pains and atrocities in life, to sit, and listen. Listen to all the pains to the inequality woven within our every day experiences. Co-pays, landlords, 10 dollar milk, every gunshot of every officer at another once living, once breathing, person. Corporations choosing themselves over the lives of their employees as COVID 19 sweeps through their offices.

You'll cry, or scream, get angry, shake, whatever you do, let yourself feel it. Let it fuel you to keep going because FUCK letting this cycle repeat for anyone else cause this is fucking hard and it fucking hurts.

FUCK letting companies and governments decide where we can sleep. FUCK letting megafarms continue to contribute to food waste, FUCK the police FUCK the bourgeoisie and FUCK EXCESS!

Alabama’s most conservative Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville offered up a ridiculous amendment to remove federal funding from any city or county that voted to defund the police. Every single Democrat in the room joined every single Republican in the room to declare that they have zero support for defunding the police.

In a 99-0 vote, the entire senate voted to penalize and revoke funding from any city that supports defunding the police. Even Bernie and Raphael Warnock voted with the 99-0 group.

Police don't make cities safer. Jobs, housing, healthcare, education, mental health services, social services, and so much more are what makes a city safe. And smart cities all over the country have already come to this realization and have decided that police budgets are outrageously bloated.

The entire United States Senate, including all of your favorite Democrats, just said "fuck you" to the Black Lives Matter Movement

This is a clear message that emboldens Racist Police to continue to terrorize Black communities .... and supports the exploitation of Black bodies as fuel for our injustice system.

Yesterday was World Suicide Prevention Day

What I learned is that HR is a pointless group of people, trying to spread awareness or action through them is impossible, exhausting, and a waste of time. Better to jump on my cubicle and just tell it to the office. Best I can do is let people vent to me. I'll hold the base board for my comrades for the time being. But right now, if you are struggling, or know someone who is, or you have lost someone, please know you are not alone, I have been there, I know, it's overwhelming and it hurts, I feel for you.

Industrial Evolution & Labor Day:

The AFL versus the IWW

As the Knights of Labor went down, the American Federation of Labor commenced to rise. This latter organization, after about twenty-three years’ existence, claims over a million members. It was the AFL that inaugurated “Labor Day,” the first Monday in September. This Labor Day was originally intended to be the one day in the year on which labor could devote to its own interests, for the purpose of cultivating a spirit of solidarity and fraternity among the working class. But “Labor Day” has lost this feature—instead, it has degenerated into a day when politicians, fakers and grafters have full swing, and a free platform to lie, and to gull the masses.

All the evidences of disintegration are apparent in the AFL at the present time. One does not have to be an enemy to make this statement; in fact, the writer is a friend to organized labor, but facts are facts, nevertheless. The American Federation of Labor is doomed: first, because of its own inherent rottenness; and second, because, in common with all other craft organizations, it has outgrown its usefulness, and must give way to the next step in evolution, which is the Industrial Union, which proposes to organize along industrial lines, the same as capital is organized.

While I am positive the days of the AFL are numbered, I nevertheless recognize and am compelled to give credit to that organization for the great benefit it has been to the working classes of America.

On the ruins of the AFL, there is at the present moment arising the Industrial Union which was organized in Chicago, July 8th, 1905. This industrial organization is organized along the lines of Industrial Evolution, hence it is bound to succeed.

I wouldn't believe that to be hierarchal, no, I believe there's people that are skilled, everyone can make bread, but based off of skill, one person's bread will be better than another, but so long as they all know how to make bread and have access to the ingredients to make it, that's what matters.

What makes it hierarchical is if someone is withholding information or tools with a goal to control a situation. Giving someone the ingredients but will only give them the measurements if they pay you is hierarchical. Not teaching someone something so that you have more customers is a form of hierarchy.

Higher education is hierarchical, "we won't teach you this if you don't pay us $1000" people can learn how to code python online for free now, where as a trade school will have someone believe they need to pay money to learn it, that's creating a hierarchy.
