Hello, first post. This blog will mainly be about Papyrus Undertale! I mainly do colorless sketches but hope to make little comics in the future. I also want to eventually make an au. So thatβs my plan for this blog.
Things to note about this blog:
Will likely reblog a lot of things.
Donβt want my work reposted to other sites (meaning outside of tumblr) without permission.
Mainly just undertale/deltarune related content here.
But occasionally other stuff too.
I am not that involved in fandom spaces beyond tumblr, so I may not get some references or be up to date on things, please be patient
Up for collabs or papyrus related requests so just ask.
Still figuring out how I want to draw papyrus, so designs and styles may vary.
All my original posts will be under the #@andaumposts
i really like the headcanon that papyrus has poor eyesight and he used to wear glasses (and i think he looks cute with them sorry). so i decided to draw this--- sorry for cringe.
Drew this be because Iβm recently getting back into undertale and I thought having to save the lost souls was a really cool concept! And how each save you do build up to saving Asriel.
Also them coming in basically pairs, really highlights the symmetry of the story. Toriel and papyrus who we spend time with in the beginning, undyne who explains what his needed for the monsters to get out. Alphys who explains what is needed to for a human to get out. Then sans and Asgore who we face at the end.
Anyways, dang itβs been way too long since I drawn Papyrus, it took a while to get back into the groove of how I draw him
UnderTheAngel!Papyrus is such a cutie pie, I could just eat him up
YAP INCOMING! Totally a random ramble about Papy, and how he acted before the.. Well, when he was younger
P1-104 (Papyrus) was always much more defiant than his brother. Of course this was because of ββββββ (Riverperson) who planted seeds of doubt and was the father Gaster never was. ββββββ gave him human books, taught him things about the world, and treated him like a son instead of a test subject. Because of all the things ββββββ was saying about Gaster, Papyrus grew to hate him, hate what he stood for and his obsession. It was only after Papyrus accidently got ββββββ fired that Papy started to act, sneaking around, finding out the truth and trying to save his brother despite their strained relationship. He tried running away plenty of times, but it only resulted in his legs being broken time and time again. he never stopped though.
As much as he despised his creator, he picked up a few things from him. How to lie, manipulate and gaslight, he learned to observe, pick apart what made someone so insecure so he could use it against them, something he commonly does to S2 (Sans) he hates doing it, but manipulating his brother to feel guilty buys him time. Even if it causes S2 to retreat into himself more often then not
One day, after βββ he ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββwaited βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ kept ββββββββ until βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ left ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ hurt ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ got out.
Now Papyrus is a cadet! Living in snowdin with his brother, he ditched those old habits, or atleast... did he? He cant remember, not that it matters anymore. He still gets those weird feelings about something not being right, that he's being watched, he has feelings about people he doesn't remember meeting, and for whatever reason, he REALLY hates the head Priest. He cant remember the name though, maybe it started with a G? He visits ββββββ (Riverperon) he doesn't know why, he just does. It helps him feel calm, and ββββββ is a good friend. From time to time, Papyrus does something. He doesn't mean to, but when he and Sans get into fights, Papyrus ββββββββββββ, and Sans looks at him funny and hides in his room.. Oh nevermind! None of that. Papyrus loves engineering! He builds all this cool stuff and for whatever reason, he knows exactly how the core works. Occasionally he'll fix the artificial suns, or help Alphys with something, and he's very good at it. He just doesn't remember learning it.
When you're at 3 HP or less, the Bad Memory heals you. So it'll heal you if you're -17 HP.
The only monster with 17 in its stats
-17
On Papyrus's 17th attack (this line) his attacks will be random (His is the only battle that does this, I checked them all. Asgore's battle becomes random after 20 turns)
This is ALL the mentions of 17 or significant 17's in Undertale by the way (Did not include all the turns of any boss monster that went over 17 battle turns because they didn't do anything interesting for them) (Also didn't mention that Gaster's theme is 17 seconds long, that's for the unhinged version)
Of course there are interesting 17's in Deltarune, too!
(Ignore the cage text)
May I present: A pattern
The chapter 4 boss also has a red effect on it, but it's very dark...
I have so many versions of this post that it's getting funny
Anyway adding to this list of 17:
(Video here)
I mentioned this in it's own post but it deserves to be compiled here.
This piano has 17 different tunes you can play! I found out not by counting the songs in this video- but by finding the keys in the code for the songs and finding out there because they were listed by number.
You know at some point it can't be a coincidence anymore.
Okay only doing one for today, but donβt worry! By my calculations, I am still on track lol. For this prompt, I decided to make a Papyrus themed Junior Jumble! A puzzling art formβ¦ Feel free to solve it and post your answers in the reblogs!
Junior Jumble is surprisingly hard to make, even this simple one took a while xd. I have huge respect for those who make puzzles like these! They certainly take a lot of creativity and spelling know-how to do.
Ramble:
I wonder if the reason why junior jumble is harder for papyrus than cross words is because they donβt really give you direction.
They just hand you letters to figure out a way to make it spell something, which can have multiple answers. That you can only check is right when you put it in the final word box. (Though theyβre always are some exceptions, but generally based on the ones I seen.)
But crosswords, on the other hand, have little directions that act like the puzzle itself. For example: βthis word is used to describe a certain blue cladded skeletonβ and itβs 4 boxes long.
To me jumble feels more abstract, and crosswords less so. Maybe thatβs why crossword is easier for Papyrus.
