anyway i think i got more followers since the last time i mentioned this! and it is one of the funniest parts of dai, to me. everyone needs to know about the temple(?) jail(?) where solas pretends to be illiterate
"indecipherable" yeah. i'm sure.

Just Cole droppin those words of wisdom.
In all Thedas, I never expected to find someone who could draw my attention from the Fade. You have become important to me, more important than I could have imagined.
it feels like it should be good to think about alistair learning he has family in fiona who did/does love him but it has to come with the context that she knew duncan and from there it gets very bad very quickly for him
it just poisons everything he holds dear by making it immediately obvious that his recruitment into the wardens and duncan’s affection for him was also about his family and not him. like everything else. did you know that alistair was recruited after a tournament he wasn’t supposed to be included in, but duncan insisted, and then alistair didn’t even win and was as surprised as anyone else there to be picked. duncan just told him it was because he was seeking not the winner but “a warrior of character”, and theoretically it could even be true, but come on. after finding out who his mother was how could he ever believe it again
newly recruited alistair in a letter to eamon from world of thedas: “[the wardens] don’t know anything about me, where i come from, and they don’t care. duncan said i was worthy, and that’s all that mattered. i thought the man must have been insane to pick me out, me of all people, but now... now i don’t know. they say i’m learning fast. [...] for the first time, i’m a little glad you kicked me out.” and his lines to the warden about how he kept his heritage secret from them because he wants so badly for them to like him for him. it matters so so much to him with duncan and affects his whole identity and purpose as a warden and it would be so crushing that it was never true. VERY SICK!

Father and son, a never ending battle.
[solas] 2017 >>>>>> 2025
I'm haunted by the idea of Lavellan visiting the Lighthouse after meeting with Rook the second time, after all the murals are unveiled. I'm tormented by the idea of her wandering around, seeing Solas in the small details as well as the paintings on the walls. I'm in agony over the thought of her seeing the memories through her unique perspective tinted with compassion and empathy (as opposed to the heavy judgement from the resident gang). I'm going feral thinking how the Caretaker would welcome her: how she would be instantly recognised.

What if Elgar'nan wins, Rook defeated, and Inquisitor captured....
Going absolutely insane over the idea of Elgernan finding out about Lavellan. The Inquisitor. The Herald. The lowly elf creature that STOLE FenHarel's anchor and destroyed his plans without even knowing it.
The slip of a thing that the Dread Wolf calls his heart and paints unending murals of. Can you imagine him and ghilanain going after the Inquisitor??? Can you imagine Elgarnan holding Lavellan's throat in his hand and Solas???? Seeing?????? CAN YOU IMAGINE THE FALLOUT OF SUCH AN ENCOUNTER????
