Yes the goal was achieved but what ‘IF’ one day Camila decided to come out or whatsoever (as bi or pan), Lauren will be responsible for her words for labeling Camila herself and people will go after her don’t you
NO!!! What you’re failing to realize is, you can’t look at all this through the lens of the truth. You have to look at it through the lens of public narrative. Look, the truth doesn’t lend itself to plot holes. When one can easily find plot holes, in any story, you know it’s a lie/false narrative.
A false narrative is a semblance of truth, mixed with a lot of made up bullshit. The truth falls away, and is replaced with lies. Where did the truth go? In the gigantic potholes that riddle the arc of the path of the false narrative. The truth is there, in every false narrative. One just has to take the bumpy path, and fall into each pothole to discover it.
Lauren CAN NOT label Camila. Only Camila can label Camila. Lauren can tell us her perspective and opinion, but she does not get to dictate what’s in someone’s heart, that’s not her own.
Now, what’s the public narratives? That Lauren was queer, had a thing for her BFF, but wasn’t ready to admit it, until she finally was. That BFF was not Camila, because Camren was never real...ever, because in Lauren’s perspective, Camila was straight. She was obviously straight, because she was only ever publicly with guys. Just the way THEY want it.
A truth: Lauren was always PUBLICLY with guys, until she was ready to come out of the public closet, then she showed up PUBLICLY with a girl.
Camila, as of this moment, has NEVER labeled her sexuality PUBLICLY. So, as far as Lauren knows, narrative wise, especially since Camila was always with guys PUBLICLY, Camila was straight. Lauren wouldn’t allow herself to have feelings for a straight girl, because it would make her feel like a “predator”.
Again, following the public narrative, Camren couldn’t have been real, because Camila has fallen into the default label of straight, because she hasn’t been with a girl PUBLICLY, and hasn’t PUBLICLY labeled herself....But if you delve into the potholes along the path of the narrative, and pay attention to signs we are given by Camila herself, she is guiding us to the truth.
Camila can’t come out, and tell us her truth right now, because she has signed contracts, and has to uphold the integrity of the false narratives. But, if one pays attention, she is trying to tell us the truth, without coming out a saying it. I dare say, she has even told us the path she is going to take, in eventually telling us her truth PUBLICLY.
There is a reason Camila has PUBLICLY promoted the hell out of Glennon Doyle’s book, UNTAMED. I think she is going to follow the arc of the author. That she was going to be straight, because that’s what was expected of her. But one day, she’s going to see the right woman (Lauren), from across a room, and BAM, it’ll all start making sense. The reason she couldn’t have a solid relationship with men, is because she realized they wasn’t, and couldn’t make her truly happy....Because she’s gay as fuck!!!
In the plot holes, she will discover, that the reason she couldn’t have a long relationship with a “boy”, is because she didn’t really want one. The reason she could so easily “leave” Ew, for Cashew, is because she wasn’t really IN LOVE with him. There will have to be a PUBLIC reason, as to why she can’t be with Cashew, in the end. Why might she “break his heart”... Becasue she realized, even though she did have feeling for him, she just couldn’t “LOVE” him the way he “LOVED” her, because he wasn’t truly what her heart desired.
That would make what Lauren said, “true” at the time. It would protect the integrity of ALL the false narratives. And, more importantly, it would make people feel for her and her life struggle in FINALLY FINDING HERSELF!!!
As always, this is just MY OPINION. Could be wrong...but it makes perfect sense to me.

Longer Version: The weirdest thing about people being mad about your version of Isha’s origins/ Ekko’s role - Adoption and found family are CENTRAL to the Arcane plot. Vi and Jinx and Ekko were ALL adopted. Cared for by adults who stepped up. Of COURSE Ekko would love another kid who needed that. Anyway you’re doing great. Every little frame is so full of joy, and makes me so, so happy for Isha. Thanks for all your work!
