So i found out that because of this pandemic, I’m not going in to get my medication(I get an infusion every 6 month) because there would be a much bigger risk and chance that I would get covid-19, because my immune system gets weakened after I get it, I just hope that I won’t get an ‘attack’ because of this😕

When you watch a scary movie before going to bed
So many books so little time(to prioritize)
True story: Years ago, husband (who was boyfriend at the time) and I were driving a few hours upstate to visit a family member with my parents in the backseat. Husband had the AUX and put his ipod on shuffle (I should mention right now that parents HATE anything to do with videogames, like unjustifiably so…)
So we were listening to boring music, something family friendly (Because it’s what parents like) and the song ends and goes directly into Liberi Fatali. On full blast.
I’m talking they heard: “FIIIITHOOSSS…. LUUUUUSEC….WEEEEEECOS…. VIIINOOOOSEC!!! DUN DUN DUN DUN~~~” like rattling the car doors and everything.
Husband and I are sitting there frozen because the phone fell between his legs and he was stuck in traffic and I go to turn the radio off and my parents freak out and go nuts over this song. They’re in absolute awe that we would listen to such a ‘beautiful piece of opera.’
They start calling my husband ‘refined’ and ‘so cultured’ and want to know where it came from.
I finally respond with, “Final Fantasy VIII?”
Mom gets pissed, “GODDAMN IT!”
Soon mother dearest, soon you will be converted…

So my sister went through this phase in high school where she was listening to emo and screemo and metal and whatever. Bless my parents’ hearts, they didn’t get it but they would listen to her music if she asked to put it on in the car and they wouldn’t say anything other than “turn that down, please” when she wanted to listen to it loud at home. Bear in mind that my dad especially loves classical music and in my case, tried to train me to be an opera singer from when I was like 5.
Anyway, after getting a glancing familiarly with my sister’s music for a couple years, they decide to listen to some of mine, which in this case turns out to be the FF9 soundtrack that’s been lying on the kitchen table. I wasn’t present for the listening, but afterwards they asked me what the appeal was to such repetitive music.

These dudes are fucking legit. They don’t just show up one day in court, either, they actually make friends with the kids and let them know they have a support system and that there are people in the world who care about them and will always have their back. And less important, but also cool, is that the few times a couple of them have come into my cafe, they’ve been super friendly and polite and when I told one of the guys that I noticed his Bikers Against Child Abuse patch and wanted him to know how awesome I thought he was because of it, he got kind of shy and blushed and said, “The kids are the awesome ones, we just let them know they’re allowed to be brave.”
The source is long, but so, so good. These men and women are available in 36 states, 24 hours a day to stand guard at home, in court, at school, even if the child has a nightmare. Many of them are survivors of childhood abuse as well, and know what it’s like to feel scared and alone.
In court that day, the judge asked the boy, “Are you afraid?” No, the boy said.
Pipes says the judge seemed surprised, and asked, “Why not?”
The boy glanced at Pipes and the other bikers sitting in the front row, two more standing on each side of the courtroom door, and told the judge, “Because my friends are scarier than he is.”

Bikers Against Child Abuse was founded in 1995 by a Native American child psychologist whose ride name is Chief, when he came across a young boy who had been subjected to extreme abuse and was too afraid to leave his house. He called the boy to reach out to him, but the only thing that seemed to interest the child was Chief’s bike. Soon, some 20 bikers went to the boy’s neighborhood and were able to draw him out of his house for the first time in weeks.
Chief’s thesis was that a child who has been abused by an adult can benefit psychologically from the presence of even more intimidating adults that they know are on their side. “When we tell a child they don’t have to be afraid, they believe us,” Arizona biker Pipes told azcentral.com. “When we tell them we will be there for them, they believe us.” ( Article)

Because BACA stands with the child and supports the child so they feel comfortable enough to point out their attacker.
