Born and raised in Jamaica to Jahmar and Vera Collins, Angie grew up as the only girl and the second oldest. Jahmar was well-liked in Kingston, the pastor of the local church for the past 15 years. With her parents being “old school” Angela rebelled once she entered high school. She partied every weekend and moved in with her boyfriend a few months before her 18th birthday. Her rebellion was the whispered gossip during her father’s first attempt, and the church passed him over. Jahmar disowned his only daughter to gain good standing with the church.
It has been almost 19 years since Angela booked a one-way flight to the States. She worked in strip clubs to be able to afford the cost of living, and she was good at it. Angie has always loved attention.
Angie had clocked Santiago when he walked in, keeping an eye on the man as he moved through the space. She ran a hand through her hair before standing up and making her way towards him. "Hi. I couldn't help but notice when you walked in," Angie held out her hand and smiled. "Angie Collins."
Isabella laughed at what she heard the dark skinned, beautiful, lady say shaking her head. Most of the people in her opinion at the food trucks were out of towners coming to celebrate the festival. "Be careful with how loudly you say that, I feel the younger crowd only lives on fountain drinks. What would you suggest to fill the void though?"
"Huh. I thought they were onto a new, trendy, healthy lifestyle." She looked at each truck with a look of contemplation. "I haven't decided what to try myself. Fresh coconut water!" Angie pointed to a sign two vendor spaces behind Isabella. "That hits your sweet tooth too."

The streets downtown were crowded with locals drifting between booths and live music, children weaving through the sidewalks with sticky hands and too much sugar in their systems. String lights hung overhead despite the fading sunlight, casting everything in warm gold that made the town look almost cinematic.
Sebastian stood just outside one of the food stalls, jacket slung over his shoulder, sunglasses tucked into the collar of his shirt now that the evening light had softened. He’d come alone originally—mostly out of boredom, partly out of curiosity—but hours had passed without him noticing.
A nearby voice pulled his attention sideways, and Sebastian glanced over just in time to catch a woman maneuvering through the crowd with the kind of confidence that suggested she was either completely comfortable here—or refused to let anyone think otherwise. "Rocko’s Diner, right?" he asked, lowering his drink slightly as he looked at her properly now. "I’ve heard approximately six different people mention that place since I got here."
Angie loved the festival scene, but Turtle Bay Founders Festival was a smaller crowd than she was used to. Music still pulsed through giant speakers, kids laughed, vendors shouted. Jamaican streets were full of beautiful people in feathered and sparkling outfits. Sugar and the smell of deep fryers replaced the know jerk chicken and duckunoo.
She pulled her sunglasses down her nose, looking for the owner of the question. When Sebastian walked over, her mouth turned up slightly and she nodded. "Mmhmm. Positive or negative comments? I have ideas."

Founders Festival
With still being new to Turtle Bay, Angie had decided to spend a lot of time people watching. She wanted to get to know her new community, not just ot the happy good person welcoming facades people would turn on for small talk. Angie found a pretty good spot near the food trucks and other vendors. The scents and employee chatter quickly became inspiring. Catching the eye of someone in a line, she smiled a bit awkwardly. "I think I heard these guys say something about not having a working fountain drink machine today, if that helps you choose what to get."

The phone call had ended so abruptly that Adam thought he'd hung up by mistake. He tore his phone away from his ear, stared incredulously down at the flashing 'call ended' on screen, and thought expressly, about throwing his cell into the ocean, if only it mean he'd never have to hear from that pompous piece of shit media executive ever gain.
"Fuckin' asshole-" he mumbled into the lip of his take away coffee cup, fiddling absently with the cigarette tucked behind his left ear.
It was only then he realised he had come to a stock still stop in front of a church. Scowling, Adam pursed his lips and stared up at the sun blotting cross on top of the spire, adjusting his sunnies as to not blind himself. Technically he was Catholic, though very severely lapsed.
"-think if I ask God super nicely he's smote someone for me?" Adam glanced at the random person beside him "-they're a multi-millionaire so like, it's not like they're a real person anyway."
Angie stood at the bottom of the church's stairs, hand curled tightly around the railing. She turned when she heard the question and dropped her hand to her side, chuckling. "I don't want to say yes. If it was possible, I would have gone down years ago. - Does this millionaire donate to any good charities?"
"okay hear me out..." luka's face forms into a smirk. "i came up with this new recipe and i want you to give it a try and let me know what you think. i need to perfect it before i give it to my boss." he nods. "so think you could try it and let me know if i need to change anything?" @turtlebay-starters
Angie tipped her head, a smirk on her face as she curled her fingers back and forth. "Absolutely. Give it here." She took the spoon and wafted the steam under her nose before popping it into her mouth. Silence hung in the air as Angie picked apart flavors. "It's good. Lemon?"
Riley shrugged a little bit. "Not really. I'm not from here, I'm from Chicago actually. So I just know that it wasn't well managed from what I have heard around here. Hopefully that changes now that you have clearly taken over."
Chuckling, Angie lifted her head to look at Riley. "It definitely will." She closed her leather bound notebook and looked over her shoulder, "if the guy ever shows up. - Hear anything specific?"
"Not a problem." Riley stated with smile on their lips. Shaking their head a little bit. "No, you didn't hit happy hour or anything like that. Just trying to throw out some kindness." Riley stated with a smile on their lips. Nodding their head. "I can certainly do that. What is the meeting about? If you don't mind me asking."
"Rocko's Diner," Angie answered while scribbling away. She lifted the glass and took another sip, checking her watch. "Do you know anything about the previous owner?"
Nodding his head a little bit, he moved to get in line behind her. "Thank you." He smiled over at her for a moment. "It really is good coffee." Santiago loved the coffee here, he really did. "I usually just get regular coffee with like five creams and five sugar. And then I get a banana nut muffin. Everything that they do is very much homemade. So I like it very much. Are you from here? I'm only asking because I don't think I've seen you around here."
She hadn't been expecting a conversation lasting more than the coffee order, eyebrow rising. "I'm not." Angie answered quickly and turned her head over her shoulder, looking at Santiago, assessing before looking back at her phone. Her meeting with the listing agent was in 20 minutes where she would be seeing Rocko's Diner for the first time with her own eyes. "I might have to take your word for it, come back a little later."
"This seems like a strange question but are you in line to get a coffee? I’m just trying to figure out where this line ends or if it is one at all.." Santiago stated, looking at the person in front of him. "Seems like this place is pretty popular today. Are they doing like a Bogo type of offer or something?"
Angie looked up from her phone, seeing no one behind her. "I guess I am the end of the line." She shuffled foreward a bit and leaned, straining to see the menu. "Must be good coffee then." Good. Angie needed a big, strong cup of coffee. She had a long few days ahead of her. "What's your favorite?"
Asher had just parked his car and soon after he was out, grabbing the stroller and plopping Daxton down into it. He pushed thr stroller through the parking lot up to Polar Cove so that he could order some ice cream for his son and him. He knew that Daxton's mom was probably going to be mad at him, but he wasn't going to fight it. He knew what his son needed. As he was at the side of the building he began to look at the different flavors that they had to offer before he then saw Daxton throw one of his toys at a stranger. "I'm so sorry, he might just be a baseball player down the road."
If there was a beach, Angie would find it. Growing up in Jamaica, she spent A LOT of time with sand between her toes. She had stopped to grab a treat before going back to her car. The toy hit Angie's lower back and she chuckled at the overly cute animal. "Hey that's not a bad thing." Angie picked up the toy and offered it back to Daxton, "good throw."
"Here.. It’s on the house." Riley stated, placing a drink in front of the person in front of them. Honestly it just seemed like the right thing right now because they were in a good mood and they were sure that Connor wouldn't mind. And if he did, they would pay for it. Which was something they didn't mind doing at all.
Angie looked up from her scheduling book, eyebrow arching. "Thank you?" She rocked the pen between her fingers as she looked at the drink. Turning her head, she scanned the few other people at the bar. Nobody was staring. "Did I hit happy hour or something?" Angie questioned before taking a sip of the drink. "Ohh that's good! I'm going to need another after this meeting is over."
