Hello and greetings from Spain! I love all your renovations; you're incredibly inspired and motivated <3 What's next for Villa Verona? Are you planning to turn some of the Tudor-style houses into apartments, and what do you think about the community lots? I'm looking forward to seeing how you build or plan Monty's restaurant.
Hi, thank you so much for the kind words!! I hope to get back to building soon - I’ve been really depressed the last few months so it’s been difficult to do much in the game.
On a more fun note, I would love to turn a couple of the Tudor lots into apartments! Some of them were clearly built with that idea in mind. For the Monty restaurant, I am torn between doing a slightly exaggerated villa-style build with a vineyard or going for a more casual bistro; though I guess two restaurants wouldn’t be too much for the town either. The community lots are a bit of a handful - I’m hoping to avoid the renaissance fair vibe and make them look a tiny bit more realistic. For now, I’ll probably work on houses/apartments for the bin families and start on the community lots from there :)

A few pictures of the lot that I couldn't fit in the main post. My favorite little corners and some nighttime shots to show off the outdoor lights :) and the gallery wall that I spent ages on that you can't even see properly lol

Hey there, Love your builds. I love how they look so modern and fresh at the same time. I'm curious when Capp Manor is gonna appear. Can't wait to see when you create next :) Keeps up the great work
Hi, thank you so much for the lovely comment!! I've been a little swamped with my MA thesis but I'll be able to go back to the game in a few days to finish the Veronaville lots. I'm done with the shell and some of the exterior for Capp Manor but it is a very large build so it'll probably take me a little while to finish. Here's what it's looking like for now :)
Hi, so I'm missing the brick wallpaper used on 290/250/330 main street in Pleasantview. I have both the required and the optional files for the life stories budle.. do you have any idea where it's from?
Hi! Sorry for the wait, that brick is part of the life stories build bundle (it's linked in shastakiss' forum post that I point to when I post my builds). You need to have both the build and the buy bundles in your catalog/bins folder for everything to show up :)
Hi, could you tell what lighting mod you have in your game? And if you use ReShade, what preset do you use?
Hi! I've used Cinema Secrets for the longest time, that's the lighting mod you see in all my screenshots. Recently, I also added the Postprocessing Mod (linked here together with dreadpirate's shader fixes; I use the version without depth of field). This is the combination you can see in the screenshots of my most recent lot makeover. I don't use ReShade though, it's always seemed like too much trouble to make it work :')
Hello, I’m thrilled with your Monty Ranch Makeover, but no matter what I do, the game just won’t load the house and throws an error. It only opens if it’s empty, without furniture. Could you help me somehow? I tried renovating it myself, but in some rooms, I can’t even see what’s there. It’s driving me crazy!
Hi, I’m sorry to hear that! I have an inkling what the issue might be since this same thing happened to me when I reinstalled my game recently. The culprit ended up being an incomplete installation of the rug fix - I had the fix in the downloads folder but not in the installation folder. Installing the fix properly got rid of the problem for me.
I’m relatively certain it’s the life stories rug that ultimately causes the problem, so if this doesn’t help, I can remove it from the build and put up the alternative version for download to see if it’ll fix it. Let me know if this helps!
I can't wait for you to finish doing VV lots too, they are gorgeous!
(You're encouraging me to create a second mini uberhood with only the base game neighborhoods just to use your lots... 👉🏻👈🏻 )
Aw thank you, that is so nice of you to say! <3 This whole makeover project actually started because I wanted to play an uberhood with just the base game hoods, decided to make over the builds first and now here we are :')
I love your monty ranch makeover! so pretty! is it still the original lot size or did you shrink the lot a little?
Thank you, I'm really happy to hear that!! Up to this point, I was sure it was the original size but apparently I did make it smaller at some point so it's 50x50 while the original is 60x50. You can always add the extra space to the back of the lot with Mootilda's Lot Adjuster if needed :)

Pontavène terrain map
Download on SFS / MediaFire
I've been wanting to start a new custom hood for a while now and finally got around to making my very first SC4 terrain!
It's a medium sized map vaguely inspired by the French Alps with a river fork separating the town center from the residential area. I kept most of it very flat for easy lot placement and building and after many painful attempts managed to fit in a small riverside area where you can place a couple of beach lots. I wanted it to have mountains, a river, and be mostly flat to boot, and decided to share in case anyone was looking for a similar thing :)
Hi ! i've just seen your Strangetown makeovers and I really love them. I have a question (tried googling to no avail) : is there a way to replace the Maxis lots of the premade families with yours without having to move the family to the bin and back in the new lot ? Thank you !
Hi, thank you for the sweet comment!! If you follow CatherineTCJD's tutorial on making lot makeovers permanent, you should be able to do it by first placing the new lot somewhere in the neighborhood and replacing the lot file of the house you wish to make over with the one you just placed down. In the case of households like the Specters, make sure to put the graves in the sim's inventory before replacing the lot, otherwise they'll disappear! Though I don't know if it's a lot easier than just doing it in game :')
