Y'know, if Stratt did get married to Grace for legal reasons (no testifying, also being able to pull him into stuff, expediting clearance etc etc) can you imagine how much worse it is after she puts him on the ship? She's his official, legal widow and everyone is like wao he was so brave, we're here for you, I'm so sorry for your loss and she's. It's worse, like this, but she has to carry on.

How many people on Stratt’s Vat do you think thought “the world might be going to hell in a handbasket, but hey! at some point we’ll have Director Stratt and Dr. Grace’s wedding to look forward to!”

(The majority of people who thought they saw that wedding in the cards believed that Stratt would 100% run the wedding planning with an iron fist. A small but vocal minority thought that since, y’know, it was Dr. Grace’s wedding too, she’d let him have *some* input, and the combination of Stratt’s ideal wedding aesthetic and Grace’s ideal wedding aesthetic would be hilarious no matter what form it took.)

And then post-launch, how many people do you suppose made awkward overtures of comfort toward Stratt, none of which she could really accept because they were all trying to comfort her for the wrong thing.
