Under the night sky in the cold winter snow I contemplated, it shouldnt have been anything big but it stood out in my head until I thought about it seriously. His hands they were always moving in one way, be it smoothing his hair or simply tapping on the desk anxiously, they looked so gentle, like they were handling glass always afraid of breaking something.Ā
But when he handled his wand the fear vanished and he took it by the reigns. He became confident in his spellwork, until that was snatched away as well.
I went to bed, the next day I looked at his hands working with potions, they trembled, cautious with every motion. Each day he became more paranoid. Each day he became more closed off from everyone, his false confidence becoming a wall to hide behind.
I walked away, during the other classes he used his hands for terrible pranks, something beautifuul stained with hate. He began hiding them one day not bringing them out for anything other than wand use.Ā
I spoke, he had come to the library, hiding in an isle curling into a ball, clenching his hands to fists, the gentle color turnig a sickly white. I was on the opposite side of the shelf, I slid a piece of chocolate through and it fell on his head. it startled him. I whispered words of encouragement to him.
I smiled, these encounters continued for weeks before he saw my face, my robes. He froze up, weeks of progress gone, I looked at him and took a step back with a gentle smile. He began to speak but I had run in fear of the words yet to come.
I ran, each day he had aproached me I ran, friends hid me when he walked the same hall. My stomach filled with dread each day. I had hidden in the library when he found me. He placed a chocolate on my head and hid behind the shelves.Ā
I approached, him behind the shelves, his hands trembling once again. I walked towards him cautiously, offering a smile. He looked like a scared animal. I offered him my hand.
