I can’t believe I’m actually doing this. My parents are down there, going on about another kid who vanished in the woods, and here I am, ready to sneak out. It’s just a party! Why do they have to act like it’s the end of the world?
I glance at my phone again. Sarah’s waiting for me, probably rolling her eyes at my excuse to stay home. “It’ll be fine,” I tell myself. “Just a few hours of fun.”
I tiptoe down the hall, trying not to make a sound. “Get down here!” my dad barks, and I freeze, heart racing. I can’t turn back now. This is my chance.
Once I slip out the back door, the cool night air hits me, refreshing and scary all at once. I bolt across the yard and dive into the dark edge of the woods. I shouldn’t be out here, but it feels so good to break free.
The party sounds fade behind me, and I’m left with just the rustling leaves and the occasional creak of branches. I start to feel a little uneasy, like I’m not alone. It’s stupid, I tell myself. It’s just the woods.
Then I hear it—a whisper, soft and chilling. “You shouldn’t be here…”
My heart stops. “Hello?” I call out, but all I get is silence. I swear I see something move in the corner of my eye, and suddenly, the excitement drains from my body, replaced by cold fear. I shouldn’t have come out here.
What would you do if you were me right now? Stay hidden or run back?
What the fuck is this? Who’s Sarah?
I can’t tell if this is a copypasta or a genuine fucking question. But.
If I were you… I wouldn’t have gone out in the first place.
I don’t care for parties.
