This fall I went back to Napoli. ~ It was just for some hours, but it was so strong. Napoli hits you in the face like a punch, the stairs, the colors, the voices, the towsand different tongues spoken all at once, the people.. ~ It was foggy, and we could just see the top of Vesuvio, like in a dream. But it was beautiful. ~ When in Napoli you feel like everything is a deja-vù. When you walk down the Pedamentina stairs, and you see the old buildings, the trees in the garden, the town lying there like the background of a majestic theatre. ~ Then you walk through the old spanish quarters, you can see all those small shops, the miniature-sized bars selling small spritz to go at 1€, you see children kicking balls, young girls driving scooters zigzagging between people walking, students and an old crazy man screaming against the politics (or is it me who’s gone crazy?). ~ You stop at piazza del Gesù, it’s hot and you buy a beer, and you drink it in one shot, cause you’re thirsty. Then you suddenly speak with a man enjoying the fresh evening air on his balcony and he tells you that just close to that pizzeria there’s a Banksy (wtf!). So you walk some more and you’re suddenly surrounded by hundreds of religious handcrafters in the little san Gregorio Armeno street, you walk and you never stop to look around with wide open eyes.. ~ Roma is beautiful, Terni will forever hold my sweetest childhood memories and Norway, where I now live, is quiet and has that majestic nature which embrace you and make you feel safe.
