The accounts that reblog my post about being spat on and abused irl for being Jewish with “well it’s justified cuz she probably supports Israel (even though we have no way of verifying that) and also she’s using white tears apparently :)” are like 70% queer AT LEAST. This is why I don’t feel safe or comfortable in queer spaces. If you are a queer Nazi you are a traitor and a horrible person. It is FUCKING RIDICULOUS how dangerously antisemitic the queer community has become, as a Jewish lesbian. You people are PRIVILEGED AND EMBARRASSING. In three years you won’t give a shit about this anymore because you will have moved on to the next issue-du-jour but us LGBTQ Jews will remember EXACTLY how the rest of the community treated us.
There is nothing progressive about Nazism and Judenhass
it is functionally insane that jews are expected to be deferent and piously self deprecating while we are only intermittently treated as human beings.
some of the most powerful global institutions on an economic and social level are the dominant religious powers that have denuded the narrative of the jewish religion.
they have regularly denied us being its makers when it was convenient in order to depose us our positions of influence and security.
and we’re expected to be delicate and graceful when people slaughter us in the name of the religions that built over our memory? reprehensible
Women shouldn't have had to have their personal unpleasant and traumatic experiences with him paraded and judged publicly for him to be considered an inappropriate candidate. Because, HE HAD A NAZI TATTOO! and that should have been enough.
If republican propaganda mills (Beacon, Post, Examiner) are doing actual investigative journalism for their own strategic reasons that ostensibly more credible/mainstream sources (NYT Wapo, whatever fetid sewer rags Grim/Greenwald/Carlson/Vigeland/Medhi Hasan work for) are failing to cover because they're all in the same group chats and wiping each others' asses and they think they need to 'massage the narrative for the good of the movement' what you have is not credible or mainstream media.
You have a propaganda wing that ONLY attacks Democrats, Jews, and women, protects actual rapists while cynically sourcing accusations of their own to try and play temu kingmaker (hi Ryan Grim, Hi Tara Reade) and is still vulnerable to GOP aligned sources actually covering the stories because they FUCKING BURIED THEM and lied to people who trusted them.
NYT/Wapo/every single pundit thirsty for the Nepobaby Nazi Rapist Populist man is less effective at being organizational propaganda AND CREDIBLE NEWS than the insane republican publications!
Because they're cowards who all clean up after each other, and their morals AND their tactics stink.
This is not new.
Remember when Reality Winner went to the Intercept with a story that implicated Russia and Greenwald took such good care of her?
"It's obviously perfectly fine to think that the holocaust was atrocious"
I think I get to beat this guy with a rock. How is that NOT seen as a form of Holocaust denial? Reminds me of a blogger on here -- upon being confronted with receipts and sources calling BS on Holocaust denial in her inbox that she accepted as fact -- called those sources "a counter argument." This is where we are: the left now thinks the atrocities of the shoah are "up for debate." That is Holocaust denial.
Remember when Magdi Jacobs pointed out the new Liberal-specific shame tactic at calling out sexism and bigotry in the hopes that the instant reaction of 'Oh no I have transgressed and must instantly apologize' while the people using it do 4Chan speak?
Instant pivot to "You're islamophobic/racist/insert Topical -ist." with a possible "X doesn't know better" after demonstrable bigotry by that person.
The 'not even a huge fan' of Abdul El-Sayed sure does like using the same tactic though.
So, I've been following mostbelovedqueer's most recent Tumblr poll tournament. They have a rule about aggressive language and anti-propaganda, which is mentioned on every poll post. I sometimes enjoy a good bit of anti-propaganda in this type of poll tournament, but those are the rules for this one, and I've seen them being enforced with disqualifications of ships. But last night this happened, and I'm still not sure how to respond.
The ship the previous commenter would seemingly prefer to win did get a strike against it, but I'm concerned about mostbelovedqueer's response here. To call out the use of "twink" in a derogatory context but fail to mention the phrase "kill that zionist" sure is a choice. I don't think I can formulate the words to really respond to this, but it makes me deeply uncomfortable as a Jew. And I also didn't feel like I could just stay silent, so I'm sharing this as a screenshot so maybe other jumblr users can help me put words to it.
This policy isn't compatible with death threats. Period. And let's be clear here:
This is still permitting death threats. The exclusive focus on "twink" speaks volumes, and is very deliberate.
I feel obligated to point out here that (as far as I know) Noah Schnapp's record of Evil Zionism consists of three major events:
Getting publicly upset over the worst violence inflicted on Jews since the Holocaust
Being caught off-guard by a pro-Israel couple who snapped a picture with him before he could react
Releasing a statement calling for the cessation of hostilities and opposing the slaughter of innocent people
None of this exactly screams "bloodthirsty extremist jerking off to the mass slaughter of Palestinians" to me? Like, I get it if you disagree with him politically, that's your prerogative, but calling for his death?? For THIS???? Kind of an overreaction, no?
The implication of @mostbelovedqueer's decision here is that it's okay to spew death threats and hate so long as you staple "Zionist" to the target's name. Um???? As OP pointed out, that is one hell of a choice to make.
And once more, I feel obligated to point something out: antisemites will sometimes use the term "Zionist" as a dog whistle for "Jews." This tradition goes back decades, it's why David Duke coined the word "Zio" in the 90s. YES, there are many, many legitimate criticisms to make of Zionism as a movement, or the Israeli government, or both. That does not stop bad faith actors from using the word maliciously; if anything, it gives them better cover. Because "Zionist" can be abused in this way, it is in EVERYONE'S interest to keep an eye out for its misuse, so we can weed out aforementioned bad faith actors from honest discussion. Let's take another look at the word's usage here, shall we?
I don't see any conversation about, say, the ideological tenets of Zionism, actions taken in the name of Zionism, arguments made by Zionists, or anything else along those lines. What I do see is a person calling for the murder of a young Jewish actor who has made a few middle-of-the-road statements on the topic. Gotta say, that does NOT strike me as someone trying to discuss the flaws of Zionism. It strikes me as, well, someone thirsting for the death of a young Jewish actor. I'll leave it to you to decide what that says about @smugblueenby69. But I will point out that @mostbelovedqueer is apparently okay with that statement.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that this was supposed to be a friendly contest, a neutral grounds for fans to bond over their favorite queer ships. How does permitting literal death threats against one of the ship's actors make for a friendly place to socialize?
The complaints about antisemitism did not begin & end with them only calling out one part of a post. The issue is 1) calling out someone for calling someone a twink while ignoring the death threat (objectively a worse thing) in the same post, and 2) making a follow-up post talking about having "an understandable problem with the actor" (for the "crime" of having been deemed a zionist by people on the internet) and still not addressing the death threat. (This list could probably be longer, but this is the crux of my issue.)
"why do you think you are special specifically?"
IDK, maybe because it's the one example of not just obvious hate but A Literal Death Threat that I've seen get ignored? In favor of calling someone out for using the word "twink". Like, they could just acknowledge that they made a mistake and move on, but no, they had to double down, and they've apparently blocked people who directly called them out. I'm utterly unsurprised but still disappointed.
Well. I’d like to say this directly to @mostbelovedqueer, but they have blocked me (no idea why, we’ve never really interacted so I assume they disliked my blog’s content). Perhaps someone can pass this on for me:
Words mean jackshit if they aren’t backed by action.
If someone makes a death threat in a space you are moderating, you are responsible for making it clear that death threats are not acceptable. You do this by punishing them explicitly for making a death threat.
This did not happen in the above case. @smugblueenby69 was reprimanded solely for using the word twink in a derogatory manner. The death threat they made, much less the antisemitic tone of their statement, was ignored (please see my earlier post for why this statement should be considered antisemitic, not anti-Zionist). To the contrary, @mostbelovedqueer stated in a follow-up post that the accusation of Zionism was a justifiable reason for hating Noah Schnapp, a Jewish actor. The truthfulness of this accusation. Again, I must point out that Schnapp’s Zionist offenses appear to be making a few middle-of-the-road statements about the conflict (no, I am not including getting ambushed by a couple of propagandists, and neither should you), something many other celebrities have done. Why, then, does only the Jewish actor deserve hatred?
To answer your question, @mostbelovedqueer: we don’t think we’re special. We think we deserve equal treatment. Why do you think holding someone accountable for an antisemitic death threat to be “special treatment?”
Sure would be nice if us "genocidal evil monsters by nature of our birth no matter what we do or say" evil Jews AIPAC Zionists could take a mental health break from people yelling at us without hiding in a cabin in the woods with no internet connection for a few months or something

A group of French Jewish tourists was reportedly chased and harassed by a crowd shouting antisemitic insults after leaving a synagogue in Barcelona — the latest incident amid a broader surge of anti-Jewish hostility and targeted violence across Spain.
The tourists, who were wearing kippahs, were walking back to their hotel through the city’s beachfront Olympic Village area following Shabbat services on Friday when a woman wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh allegedly shouted antisemitic slurs at them and repeatedly spat in their direction, according to the Federation of Jewish Communities in Spain (FCJE), the country’s main Jewish umbrella organization.
The harassment reportedly escalated as dozens of others gradually joined in, some arriving on bicycles, scooters, and motorcycles, surrounding the group and cutting off its path forward. Members of the crowd shouted, “Jews are not welcome in Barcelona,” “Baby killers,” and “Israeli genocide,” according to the victims.
The tourists said they feared an imminent physical attack, but security staff at their hotel, the Hotel Arts, reportedly prevented the group from entering.
The FCJE is now collecting evidence and urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has photos or video footage to come forward, as it reviews the possibility of filing criminal complaints.
“If confirmed, this would be one of the most serious episodes of antisemitic harassment recorded in Barcelona in recent years,” the federation said in a statement, adding that the incident “comes amid a broader escalation of antisemitic acts reported in recent months, including the desecration of the Montjuïc Jewish cemetery, graffiti and vandalism, intimidating demonstrations, and threats directed at members of the community.”
“We call on the authorities to take a firm stance against this trend,” the statement continued. “Antisemitism is not only a concern for the Jewish community, but a threat to democracy as a whole.”
Like most countries across Europe and the broader Western world, Spain has seen a rise in antisemitic incidents over the past two years, following the invasion of and massacre across southern Israel by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.
Spain stands out as one of the most extreme cases, however, with experts warning that antisemitic violence and anti-Zionist rhetoric have moved beyond a social phenomenon to being, in many instances, state-promoted and legitimized as a political tool. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and several members of his Socialist Party have come under mounting criticism from some of the country’s political and Jewish leaders, who accuse them of fueling antisemitic hostility.
Last month, Spanish authorities launched an investigation into a public school in Madrid’s Puente de Vallecas district after 10-year-old students performed a pro-Palestinian play dressed in military-style uniforms resembling those of Hamas terrorists, wearing balaclavas and carrying toy rifles. Footage of the performance spread widely on social media, sparking outrage among the local Jewish community and political leaders.
During the play, the children could be heard chanting phrases such as “With strength and courage, we will not surrender,” while some girls wearing keffiyehs chanted lines including “Resistance and freedom.”
Education authorities in Madrid initiated an inspection into the school over allegations that it may have violated the political neutrality required in Spain’s public education system.
they’ll then insist things like this aren’t related to, and don’t stoke the flames of, chasing and threatening Jews through the streets.
A banner reading “Destroy Israel” was displayed above a crowd during the opening celebrations of Spain’s San Fermín festival in …
Spain has never reconciled with its centuries’ worth of antisemitism, genocide, and complicity with the Nazi regime.
After seeing what Mossad can do with pagers and cell phones, I have NO clue why we are flying our President around in this thing. There's no way you can confirm that nothing was tampered with in any way to explode, record, any number of nefarious things.
Yes there is: The Qataris are looking to maximize their investment in the US's new royal family; it's definitely full of listening devices, but they want to keep Trump in place as someone who "speaks their language".
For all the activists screaming about being "kidnapped" by the Israelis, they sure aren't giving a single fuck about the ones that genuinely have been and are in actual danger.
Hello?, everyone that didn't shut up about the people the Israelis stopped, where the fuck are you? These ones are in genuine danger and you're completely silent.
Can't use it to scream about Israel so fuck these people I suppose.
I pulled up four different articles about this trying to figure out the severity (which is much more than their allies—outside of Italian mainstream news—seem to have done) and I’m genuinely surprised the update doesn’t say they’re dead.
Apparently they’ve tried this exact stunt before.
They are very, very luckily they were just forcibly disbanded. Libya could’ve easily gotten rid of them and claimed their travel into their borders was an “imperialist invasion”. They would’ve had a point. Anyone with any sense would’ve known they shut down aid channels because they don’t want the same channels used for arms trafficking (and separately they just don’t want to help Palestinians).
You will note that now that the flotilla activists have been confronted with reality they’ve moved on to blaming Israel for a secret global conspiracy to cut Palestinians off from aid. Rather than focusing on getting their fellow activists safely back, they’re asking for assurances they’ll be let through. The lack of intragroup solidarity and inability to prioritize is… telling.
They don’t think they can be harmed and they won’t do the hard, slow work of diplomacy to actually get permission through.
#wonder what's going on with those guys #its been a bit - @bicest
I posted the update June 23rd, as of now 4 of them have been confirmed as released. The other 6 were supposedly getting released as well a few days later. Hopefully they've all got out of there at this point.
The takes get softer, the platforms get bigger, and the bravery is announced in advance like a tour date.
Robby Hoffman says antisemitism isn’t the worst thing. In a surprise to absolutely no one, she co-stars on Hacks with Hannah Einbinder, Hollywood’s loudest anti-Israel Jew. Maybe attacking and distancing yourself from your own people is just what that set does for applause now. It’s becoming a genre.
Since October 7th, “not the worst thing” looked like this: Matilda, a little girl shot dead at a Hanukkah celebration on the beach. Yaron and Sarah, shot in the back leaving a Jewish museum. He’d just bought the ring. Melvin and Adrian, killed outside their synagogue on Yom Kippur. Karen Diamond, 82, set on fire at a walk for the hostages. She died of her burns.
They weren’t offended. They were murdered.
My grandparents survived the Farhud in Baghdad, 1941. Two days, their neighbors, the streets full of Jewish dead.
Every massacre in our history started the same way— with someone influential shrugging.
Antisemitism is bad. That’s the whole sentence.
I think he deserves to be angrier, actually. we’re watching this explode in every corner of society, to the point where people are terrified to let strangers know they’re Jewish, to the point where Jews merely existing in public places or at events causes people to cause massive uproars, hurl slurs at them, and accost them. even if this didn’t come with a death toll - and it does - the hate crimes and harassment that precede murders (we know this historically) would be cause for concern. the arrogant, callous reaction that it’s not a big deal is exactly why it’s becoming normalized. everyone engaging in it knows they can get away with it.
This is what we mean when we say that we're politically homeless. Nazis to the Right of us, Stalinists to the Left of us, and here we are, stuck in the middle, with a senile old fascist in charge.
well I think first its important to note that at least officially he's still in, he's saying he won't send in the paperwork that officially makes him withdraw till Monday which is the deadline for it.
that housekeeping out of the way, what an easily avoidable shit show, like good god, and I almost wish it was a Maine only problem but so many people from across America who 100% knew better set their good names on fire for a guy who might as well have had "rapist" printed on his forehead, you know just a bit over his Nazi Tattoo.
no one will sit in shame and think about how they boosted a moral monster and threw away an easy Senate seat
it'll be very hard, the Maine Dem's creditability is shot, no one they pick will have a democratic mandate to be the nominee and will have no money, vs Collins endless sea of cash.
hopefully the national environment will be enough and big donors who despaired of Maine will flood the zone with cash to make up for Collins' advantage but grim, we wasted what was the easiest pick up on captain asshole.
The pro pallie party line is "once US aid to Israel is cut off it'll disintegrate in weeks! Months tops!"
It's stupid conceptually, but do you know who proves it wrong?
Ukraine 🇺🇦
Since the turd got back in office aid to Ukraine has been slashed
And in the last few months Ukraine has made russia its bitch
Ukraine did not collapse as trump his cronies and putin bet it would, they adapted, they found new partners, relied on their own know how, embraced the fact that no US aid means less leverage and more freedom to strike russia as they please
This is exactly what would happen with Israel if aid were cut off, except Israel is starting out wealthier, better equipped, and with weaker enemies
The most likely scenario is that without iron dome help or American easily targeted smartbombs for cheap, Israel starts attacking threats even more proactively with even less care for civilian casualties on the other side, and such becomes the new status quo for decades. Far more innocent Palestinians and Lebanese who committed no crime or violence and heck probably other neighbors too once they get the war bug again die and Israel stays exactly where it is.
But human lives never entered into the equation, only Keeping Our Souls Pure, so the ones advocating for more Palestinians being killed "in the name of Palestine" don't care.
