ACT VII: SOLAR PLEXUS

ACT VII: solar plexus [10-07-2026]/[10-08-2026] - most likely the final version People often glorify the quiet of the night, the peace of it all. It is in this quiet that they worship the ones they love, make a shrine for the moon and her fickle appearances. They spend entire lifetimes following it. Selene, Selene, Selene. It’s ridiculous. What’s the moon got to do with love? Perhaps it’s needed to make love but not to give it life. And love’s hardly about its making, that is only ever a tiny aspect in the whole spectrum that is human connection. 

So those who so love Selene miss, engulfed by the darkness, the pain that consumes and swallows you whole as the sun reaches his zenith. They know not of accepting the wrath of loving her so ardently you don't notice the pain or losing sight of such divinity. 

They forget that Shakespeare, a bard as foolish as me, wrote of comparing thee to a summer’s day not of the winter's night. He knew, perhaps privy to the same knowledge as I, what it is like to write with the ink formed from the sublimating fumes of one's burning flesh. Of not knowing anything but the burn—ergo, running out of metaphors. It is always the imagery of a home or of a burn or a bit of both. You flip pages of sickening tales of love and it is only ever burn, burn, burn, and then some more. 

Those of lower faith and feeble strength will give up easily and look for Selene again. Love is a trite tale always, only the brave endure it. But make no mistake, this is not a tribute to love alone. It is to life, to the magic between two people or gods. 

After spending all of your youth and rotten last days waiting, Death looms over like petrichor, waiting to reap your soul. And when the soul bids farewell to the corporeal form, that’s when you hear it: a thump of goodbye echoing through your solar plexus. 

Thus final breaths are drawn with a relieving epiphany that it was indeed the sun loving you all along. Never Selene.

I really admire marauders fans and I’ve read a few of their fanfictions but I’ve never been able to fully grasp all the lore so I’m more of on outside enjoyer but I’m so open to hear more about them and get involved with the fandom more heavily, I just never know where to start lmao y’all are BUSY

THIS is the ppt someone made on like the basic stuff.

so most ppl (me too) have gotten into the fandom with this fic called All The Young Dudes by MsKingBean89 which is the #1 fic on ao3. you might've heard of it?? idk it's canon compliant and is about the marauders' journeys from year 1 of hogwarts till the war and a little after. devastating. [this is wolfstar - remus lupin and sirius black]

BUT. it was in 2017 and the fandom has evolved so much since then (i was a kid back then but i know it now) the fic still serves as a foundation stone?? og goated fic??? smth like that.

the BEST FIC i've everrrrrrrrrrr read across all fandoms is The Cadence Of Part-Time Poets by motswolo it's a rock band au. and its soooooooooo well written omg.

and then there's Choices by messermoon. its much more heart-breaking than ATYD despite being canon compliant too and has multiple povs. it starts from the marauders' 5th year tho. [this one's about jegulus - james potter and regulus black]

these are MY big three that i rec to litr everyone and i love them soooo much lmao

but this is just the Marauders, the gryffindor gang. there's the slytherin skittles lmfao but i havent read a LOT of fics so yeahhh
