My Nail Experiments

I'm trying out a new hobby, painting my nails! I seem to have a little knack for it. Let me know what designs you like and what you don't like! Feel free to leave suggestions and thoughts please, even ideas! I'm trying to see what works and what doesn't. If you want to see me try something specific leave that too!! I haven't tried on anyone else yet and am open to try it so if you want me to try something or you let me know!!

I have been slacking posting my designs, been so busy!!! My last design (my previous post) I didn't really like the triangle on my middle finger point in g downward from the tip of my nail, so I changed it to pointing upwards from the base of my nail.. I think it looks better, although it came out a little crooked :/ I still love the design! The colors are just lovely together and I absolutely love how the glitter looks! This is probably my new favorite technique-although it's very time consuming-but placing the glitter flat, side by side, just looks so amazing! I love how it just shines every time I look at my nails, no matter the angle! What does everyone think of this versus the previous way? Let me know!! Amanda

Finally finished! Haven't had much free time lately so this is the first time in a while I've been able to do some #nailart!! I got a very pretty sky blue color from #ChinaGlaze 's #TheGiver line, called: Capacity to see Beyond. (I want to see that movie real bad too! Looks so good!) Right after painting my nails a plain baby blue, I received my #Reese from #Julep! So I decided to add some Pink Reese to the blue in the form of some geometric pink tips; straight line thru my pinky fingers and thumbs, then opposite slanted lines on pointer and ring finger for a little variety, and then an upside down triangle on my middle finger!' Now they're symmetrical! Just how I love it! Once I did that, I was still debating in my head on what to add! Cause they still looked a bit plain.. And low and behold my #JulepMaven secret store purchases arrived in the mail including their newest addition to their #BirthstoneCollection: #PinkTourmaline for #October! It's simply gorgeous! It also was the perfect color to top over the Reese color! (I kinda put too many coats bc there was either barely there glitter or chunks of it..wasn't easy to get a nice even thin line 😕). Either way they still look fantastic! Lastly, I knew I wanted to add a little silver color btw the pink and blue; I just wasn't sure whether to use silver nail polish or glitter! Then I got a whacky idea of using the bigger sized glitter hexagons I have as a middle barrier and lay them flat side by side! And I think they came out amazing!! I love pink and baby blue together and the addition of the shiny reflective silver glitter makes my nails just sparkle and pop!! I am thinking about redoing the middle fingers because I don't really like how they came out, so I'll do that today! What do y'all think? Thanks for stopping by!! 💅 💜Amanda

Finally tried out Julep's silk finish Sushmita color! Loving it! It's not as shiny when you apply it, it's almost like a matte silk finish but with the topcoat it gets really shiny and I love it!! Probably gonna add some silver color to it later, dunno what I'm gonna do yet tho.. I'll think about it! Any suggestions?!

Uh, like 26.. Lol. I just kinda started posting on here and posting on Facebook. Don’t really post much elsewhere. I’d love to get more, don’t really know how to though. Not really sure whether I want to continue on here, I’m not really a fan of the app.

I just realized I forgot to out this one! I really liked this one, I think I had them around may actually 😕 I was a slacker! I used Julep's Margaret (the blue) and the pink on my ring finger is Julep's Reese! I love these colors together! So pretty! I wanted to keep it nice and simple so I used some pale pale pink hearts I got-actually I got them from Family Dollar! They have these packages, one type is all glitter, another type is tinsel, a third type is the caviar beads, and the last type is different colored shapes. They each have 8 little glass bottles filled with the decorations. I love the because they're so cheap, and the colors are so pretty, specially the glitter ones! So I got these hearts in them. I also wanted to try a tri-colored heart design because i didn't want to do just a plain one shaded heart! So I used, all Julep, Jeanne, the lighter shade of blue, Margaret again for the middle shade and Taylor as the darker shade. Unfortunately I had to use tape because I sponged the three colors on. I probably could have just painted them, but then the heart wouldn't have been as good! My hearts are always lopsided! 😿. Anyway, Margaret was kinda clumpy so it didn't go on as good as I'd hoped, and I also got excited at how good it looked that I took the pictures before I cleaned up! I always do that! Hehe..

I just realized I forgot to upload my finished Luau Nail designs!! I posted everything but the thumb. So here they are all together!! I love how these came out! I'm not so good at the gradient technique😿 whenever it looked really well blended, I didn't think you could see all the colors well enough so I kept going back over with more pronounced lines :/ but they still look good enough! The palm tree is my favorite, and mostly everyone else who's told me their favorite nail has said the palm tree too. It really did come out fantastic! I think a big part of that was I used a dark aubergine purple color instead of a black for the tree! For the most part, everything is a #Julep polish, except I think the green in the flower, that's a #ChinaGlaze polish I had just bough Please tell me what you think!! 😺
