jack jumper ants are crazy. they jump, and they’re some of the only ants that hunt by vision so they have big googly eyes. on hot days they cover their anthills with white stones the reflect the sun. their stings can kill a person.

The reason I don't believe in therianthropy is because hm. Interesting how all of you are Cool Looking animals. Everyone is a wolf. Everyone is a husky. Everyone is a predator. Even dragon. Where are the fish. Where are the cockroaches. You can't all be wolves.
funny enough, i have the perfect post for you. this is a list made by @shyfoxsky of every submitted/observed kintype they’ve come across. it’s got everything from bison to beetles, wolverines to wasps, even a sea slug. it’s even got fish and cockroaches.
i think when people say stuff like “you can’t all be wolves” it’s just because you haven’t actually taken any time to look. the therian community is so vast. you can’t look at 8 people and then make a sweeping assumption about everyone else. at least, not an accurate one.
anyway. you don’t have to believe in therianthropy. nobody is forcing you. just be respectful, that’s all i care about

#10 - Durant (The Iron Ant Pokemon)
i mean. just look at it! durant is SO COOL!! but what i REALLY love about durant is it's LORE.
durant's main predator is heatmor, an anteater pokemon, reflecting the relationship between ants and anteaters out here in the real world! HOWEVER! what's REALLY fun about durant's lore is that they became covered in steel in order to protect themselves from heatmor! according to pokemon black's pokedex entry:
They attack in groups, covering themselves in steel armor to protect themselves from Heatmor.
which, uh. is sort of an issue? since durant, a bug/ steel type, is DOUBLY weak to heatmor, a FIRE type. so, uh. whoops!
another really fun thing about durant, though, is it's hidden ability - truant! other than slakoth and slaking, durant is the only pokemon with access to the ability truant - and it's complete garbage! it only allows the pokemon to attack every other turn, which! is really bad! which makes it so funny as a hidden ability, as hidden abilities are. not easy to get? anyway XD
