I love seeing other people’s altars! They’re always so unique and tailored to the individual that made them, even if following a similar tradition or guideline.
Fun fact: I really fucking love handheld gaming
This is a Mactoron-Falcifer appreciation post
We really need to get the youth more into the occult
[Anticosmic Design]
Ignore the cat hair: here’s my face, btw
My offerings are very eclectic. Today we have: a tea candle, an incense called “Bitter Moon Rising,” and some red wine.
Lucifer-Satan As The Same Anti-Cosmic Current
Within the Anti-Cosmic tradition of Chaos Gnosticism, Lucifer represents the embodiment of Gnosis. He is the serpent of the Garden of Eden who, in rebellion against the flawed creation of the Demiurge, blessed humankind with the true knowledge of existence and made them through this knowledge able to attune to the core state of Chaos.
Lucifer ignited our internal spark of Thoughtless Divinity and provided the framework through which we can escape the Demiurgical trap of the Cosmos and work to return to our true universal state of infinite potential.
It is as a result of the wisdom of the Tree of Daath granted by Lucifer that we became able to reject the Hylic false god of the Cosmos and instead tread the path of freedom and deification. Through this Gnosis, we can break past the limiting Cosmic “I” and light the hidden pathway to acausality via our internal Black Light.
This makes Lucifer the great adversary of the Cosmic order, or the “Satan,” which is the antithesis of Cosmic existence exhibited through his role as a Promethean figure who granted us the flames of the causal realm’s destruction.
Lucifer and Satan are for this reason two sides of the same aspect of Chaos with differing intent or implication.
The name Lucifer is invoked as a symbol of the enlightenment of Gnosis and the ignition of humanity’s Black Flame, while the name Satan is invoked more so as the destructive aspect of that Divine Knowledge which allows us to work toward the Cosmos’s ultimate dissolution and return to a unified state of acausal Chaos.
I feel it's not addressed enough how common it is to encounter obviously AI written texts in the modern Occult and Left Hand Path sphere right now.
Even on sites like Miskatonic that are known for quality publications, there are books listed that are very clearly just computer generated slop bound in leather.
I’m curious to learn more about anticosmic Gnosticism or just Gnosticism in general (im trying to just learn more about different religions and that sort of thing) what are some good books or just anything in particular about this?
I'm sure there are a lot of solid texts I'm missing here, but these are the most important and insightful books I could think of that I've personally read! Note that some of these books are incredibly difficult to find physically, but are generally all available as PDFs online: Current 218 (Anti-Cosmic Satanism/MLO/TOTBL)
Liber Azerate by Magister Templi Frater Nemidia The original public text outlining this current. Only available in European languages outside of some fairly bad unofficial English translations online.
The Book of Sitra Achra by N.A-A.218 The successor to Liber Azerate. It's a full grimoire of the Sitra Achra and cosmology of Anticosmic Satanism.
Liber Falxifer 1-3 by N.A-A.218 Cover the necrosophic current of 218 focusing on the Cult of Qayin.
Panparadox by Ekortu Explores Chaos Gnosticism through the god Pan.
TOTBL 218 A compilation document of the articles and teachings from the Temple of the Black Light's website prior to it going offline. Can still be found online as a PDF under the name TOTBL 218.
Þursatrú/Thursatru (Nordic Form of Chaos Gnosticism)
Þursakyngi I The Essence of Thursian Sorcery by Ekortu An introduction and overview of the Thursian tradition
Þursakyngi II Loki by Ekortu Explores Loki within the Thursian tradition
Þursakyngi III Gullveigarbók by Ekortu While the third of the current grimoire series, it's actually Ekortu's first book on Thursatru and the one I would recommend diving into the most. It explores Gullveig, but also includes a very solid explanation of the Thursian current as a whole.
Myrkþursablót: Nightside of the Old Norse Mythology by Hrímhjarta While not technically Thursatru, it is a fantastic text on a very similar current.
General Texts
Black Flame by Tau To Naas A very solid overview of Chaos Gnosticism/Anticosmic Satanism as an overarching concept, though fairly short.
General Gnosticism
The Nag Hammadi Scriptures The best source for ancient Gnostic theology, as it's pretty much all we have left from that era. You'll find texts from various gnostic viewpoints within it.
Brotherhood of the Serpent by Tau To Naas A solid text covering Ophite Gnosticism and the Ophite Diagram.
Got a neat new deck! Though it’s less Tarot and more a kit for performing Solomonic Demonology
Just a chill Friday evening
Went in for my regular phlebotomy so as not to be killed by my cursed blood. Apparently we have to “be more aggressive” at lowering my ferritin levels, so now I will have monthly bloodlettings 👍
I feel like a medieval noble at the court physician
My workspace is essentially just a miniature library at this point
An interesting and niche text within the Satanic left hand path exploring Tenebrous Satanism / the Sinister Tradition of the Order of Nine Angles in another light! If you’re intrigued by the O9A’s views of acausality/causality or their pantheon of Dark Gods but want to avoid the violent and extremist political ideologies that are tied to their tradition, I highly recommend this text!
TW: Discussion of suicide.
While this chapter is beautifully written, and I do not disagree with any of the points made… I do feel it’s one people should be aware of before reading Black Flame by Tau To Naas.
