Nooo! Sthalp trying to restore my faith in rom-coms with your non-controlling male lead and realistic high school portrayal and Lara Jean repeating coats and stuff. I’m no longer about that life. Sthalp! Also, lemme just watch it a couple more times just to make sure that I’m really not about that life.
My favorite smell is probably when you’re in a gas station at night and the hot blacktop mixes with the gasoline, then you walk into the store to pay and the cold air conditioning hits your nose like a punch.
This gives me such Paper Towns kinda vibe!
I’M CONVULSING THIS IS PEAK 2018 JOURNALISM
Wow being a journalism student doesn't seem so redundant all of a sudden!

Me:
Hazel was wrong about infinite cardinality but she's right that some infinities are larger than others. I wanted her to be wrong but right because that's how we muddle through as the observers of the universe: forging meaning where we can find it, from fact and fiction alike. And as my brain dragged in jet lag, I thought of the months I lived here. So much of that time I was sick and crippled with anxiety but all I could think about now, as night fell, was how much could you love made up people, and how much could you miss them?
-John Green talking about The Fault In Our Stars
What better way to spend the dawn of Independence Day than to read about the intricacies of the land we call our home?
Finally picked up Indian Realities: In Bits and Pieces off of my shelf today. Sham Lal, referred to as one of the most erudite personalities to have graced the editor's cabin, gifted us with a collection of over a hundred writings from his time as a columnist, which spanned for over forty years.
I bought this book a few years back and never got around to completing it.This lies way farther off from my general liking for fiction. So much to learn. So little time.
Here's to India and to her paradoxical independence!
"The Mad Divorcee of the Upper West Side is back"
I honestly haven't loved any other Prime Original series as much as I've loved The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel!!! I've been waiting for the next season for so fucking long that it feels like ages since the last season. You know what time it is. It's BINGE WATCH THE MARVELLOUS MRS. MAISEL SEASON 1 TIME!
P.S. I might also have to keep up with college while I'm at it *sigh*
I’m almost done with reading Call Me By Your Name and I’ve been putting off the last fifty pages or so for more than two weeks now, just because the new school year began and I didn’t want to start it being an emotional wreck. Throughout the book I found myself more and more drawn to this desire to study Philosophy, in hopes that I’ll be closer to Elio and Oliver somehow, an attempt to actively keep them in my reading still. I still can’t say when I’ll gather the courage to go back to it.
Hopefully though, I will start reading the History of Western Philosophy tomorrow night.
Happy Hopeful Reading!
Just watched the trailer for Maniac, an upcoming limited Netflix series. Its like the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind meets the Inception kinda shit. Good shit I hope.
Sometimes all you need in life is to land a couple hundred grand and spend it all on books. Hardback. Embossed. Special Editions. First Editions.
Sometimes that's all you need in life.
