SNOWBLIND
The ROARING KNIGHT has been slain, the minions of the mysterious doctor have been frozen and locked away forever, and the world should be at peace. However! In an act of true betrayal, the hero of legend has forsaken the prophecy and brought about The Roaring, only to use the powers of an extremely powerful witch to freeze the titans and trap the world in a never-ending blizzard! The worlds of Dark and Light are now stuck in limbo, geography has shifted, beloved and precious items have been granted sentience, and magic has become real, and in this world, it is the THORNED KNIGHT and the ICE WITCH that reign supreme. A world of ice and snow. A world where every day is exactly the same as the last, frozen in time.
In the midst of this horrible storm, a new illness has taken hold: Snowblindness! Granting the user exceptional power and abilities, but rendering them completely susceptible to the suggestion of the Ice Witch and dangerous to all who still hold onto their sense of reality and hope for the future. It's theorised that when exposed to those who knew them before and reunited with precious friends and Darkners, the illness can be reversed, but who could be brave enough to face these unfortunate foes in combat?
Alas! A hope has arisen from the darkness. The Knight has awoken from her healing slumber. Can she stop this awful storm? Can she save her loved ones from the depths of delusion? Can she keep the still lingering shadows within her from overtaking her completely? 'The Legend' is over, but in the snow, legends still live on!
Well, this is the big project I've been working on for a while! A whole post Roaring post Weird Route AU centring on everybody's favourite baseball bat-wielding reindeer. I've had the idea for this one for a while, and it took forever both to finish this comic and to work up the nerve to actually post it. I plan to still have regular Deltarune fancomics, but every once in a while, I'll post a comic or artpiece set in this AU, tagged under the #deltarune snowblind and #snowblindAU tags (Another way to tell the difference between normal canon and Snowblind canon will be whether Dess has her normal blue horns or her lingering knight Black horns) I hope y'all enjoy! (And if you'd like to make anything set in this AU, please use the tags provided. I'd love to see it!)

Getting down on my knees and thanking the humans who invented dishwashers and washing machines.
InsNe that dishwashers are more efficient and easier than just washing them manually but they also use less water. It’s a win win situation
They ALSO sterilize dishes, due to operating at a far higher temperature than human hands could ever tolerate. It's a win every way.
Made this post about 15 minutes after the repair guy who fixed the pump on my dishwasher packed up his tools and left, as the dishwasher was whirring along doing my dishes from that morning.
He said the exact same thing, which I did not know before that, so spreading this knowledge.
And if you wash your dishes manually because there are few people living with you and it takes forever to actually fill your washer up. That's fine!
BUT, make sure you run it at least once a month anyway! All the stanky water from hand washed plates pools at the bottom but some might not get drained properly.
This has the added bonus of making sure your dish washer isn't broken for the one time you really need it.
if you build “community” around hating other people, just know that the second you step out of line—regardless of your moral uprightness or the hypocrisy on their part—you’re the next person they’re going to tear to pieces.
And by the way it doesn’t matter if you claim your community is “pro” something if the main actual behavior of the group is hating the thing labeled as the enemy of the thing you are “in support” of.
As an example, a lot of groups claim to be “pro-women”, when in reality they are actually anti-trans. Their goal is not to uplift women, it’s to harass and criminalize trans people.
So inspect the groups you’re in. Ignore the name of the movement. What are the people in your group actually DOING?

something that i find interesting about independent animation nowadays is that if you don't have studio/streamer backing, you have to release your work yourself on the internet, but you have to do it for free on the internet because virtually nobody is going to be willing to accept a paywall just for one original show, so what you have to do in order to make any money off of it is make all of your money from merchandising, but then this means that you show must be merchandisable and have very toyetic character designs that translate easily to plushies and whatnot, but then you also need to cater your show to people who are disproportionately inclined to buy merchandise like that in the first place so that your sales can be enough to sustain you, which means that even if you want to communicate complex or difficult ideas in your work, your independent animation project must attract (at least on a first impression) and retain viewers who are both very consumerist and very capable of rabid passion, which unfortunately has a single-circle shaped venn diagram with a lot of the most toxic fandom tendencies known to man, and this explains a lot of things about independent animation and its fandoms nowadays I think

I have heard a variant on it that I really like: "You cannot hate yourself into someone you can love."
imo you get the most out of engaging with media when you strike a balance between treating characters as people (reading interiority into their actions, considering the effect of various aspects of their identity, etc etc) and as vehicles for storytelling (what narrative purpose do they serve, how do their actions and personality function to convey the themes of the work, etc etc). because of course characters are literary devices but also there’s a reason we use literary devices written to embody realistic people in order to tell stories

Really wish we'd, on the left, stop laughing and assuming this is ACTUALLY about strippers. I'd be willing to bet this ISN'T about some one with the actual job of stripper being somehow hired and sent to a school, that indeed DOESN'T happen - instead it will be used to target any female teacher who, like, wears a bikini on social media one time. She'll be called a "danger" to children and fired, as a cover for the fact that she's pro-queer or too far left or doesn't support ICE enough on that same social media. The bikini pic will just be the legal tool used to ruin her life
A friend helped me out by looking up the actual bill and YUP, it's to target queer people and sex education. NOT. STRIPPERS. STOP MAKING IT ABOUT THE FUCKING "STRIPPERS".
Anyone who thinks ladyshinga might be off track, here's the breakdown.
Actual bill name: Stop the Sexualization of Children Act.
Purported purpose: "to protect children from being exposed to explicit material in the classroom".
How it's sold in the press: "Ban strippers and porn from classrooms!"
Actual text of the bill: Expands the meaning of "sexually explicit content" to include the words "or involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism".
Not and. Or. Meaning "involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism" is in and of itself enough to be classified as sexually explicit.
Actual result: Illegal to mention the existence of trans people or admit to being trans in a classroom under threat of being prosecuted as a child sex offender.
