alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

âbut shrouded black figures are scary!â not when ur muslim. its the funniest fucking thing. this is labeled on pinterest under shit like âclassic horrorâ âscary phone wallpaperâ
but that LITERALLY just looks like a niqabi or someone in a jilbab. Like Look at this pic of me (from a self photoshoot, now w/o the dramatic lighting and dark background)
or this pic of me
or this pic of me
like its so funny i canât be scared of shrouded figures it just looks like me.
if i saw this i would just be like âAssalam alaikum sister, dope sword you got thereâ
dragon who kisses you with tongue and deletes shinigami eyes from your web browser
âshinigami eyes is bad?â well i encourage you to draw your own conclusions of course but
Completely unsurprising post to be made by a person who consistently refuses to recognise the reactionary basis of the "transandrophobia" movement
Everyone's always very keen to forget that Shinigami Eyes wasn't actually developed to mark transphobes in general but to help aid the online safety of trans women specifically, and shockingly enough yeah you're more likely to get marked red if you explicitly refuse to oppose the trans cohort of Men's Rights Activists.
The above green-marked statements are obviously pithy off-the-cuff remarks expressing such normal women's frustrations as "men are often misogynist" and "women shouldn't give men infinite patience", but of course these things that are perfectly understandable in the mouths of cis feminists become gross insults when said by a transfem, because everything we ever say is taken in the worst possible faith and we're never allowed to be annoyed or angry.
Being annoyed or angry is not an excuse to be incredibly transphobic actually. One trans woman to another, go fuck yourself.
Hey, btw, Libertineangel is fully lying up there. Shinigami Eyes now exists solely to "protect" a specific subset of reactionary trans women and no one else, including any trans woman who even vaguely steps out of line with the "radical transfeminist" movements online.
However, when the project started, it was explicitly and specifically for ALL trans people of ALL gender assignments and gender identities.
Like. I know that person is right about the use case of the extension now, but they are straight up lying about history here. And really recent history. History most of tumblr's user base lived through on tumblr.
This is a ridiculous thing to lie about, frankly.
Source on the extension including nonbinary people and trans men as per their guidelines as far back and 2019 btw

Lots of companies have Room Temperature Rooms? Like, literally any company whose products have an expiry date has to have ( or outsorce) a Room Temp Room in their R&D department. Else how would you know that this great new toothpaste flavor doesnât accidentally turn into poison in two years.
But you canât just have ONE RTR. Because what if you sell your toothpaste in Antarctica? Or the Amazon? What if the toothpaste turns evil when frozen? Or melts? Or gets dropped 500 feet off the back of a truck in the Himalayas?
So picture, if you will, a wing of an R&D department full of little rooms, each set to a certain temperature and humidity, each with a rack of toothpaste. Every year or so, a scientist comes in an takes out a tube, and does SCIENCE to make sure it wonât kill someone. Or look gross, or taste weird. Or explode. A lot of toothpaste explodes if, for example, you pretend you flew it across the artic circle (froze) then dropped if off in an Indian street market (melt), then sat in someoneâs cabinet for three years (at Room Temperature).
And thatâs how they make expiry dates. And why developing a new flavor of toothpaste can take ten years.
Kind of amazing that we got a covid vaccine in less than one, right?
Iâm sorry, are you seriously saying that toothpaste EXPLODES? And not just occasionally but actually FREQUENTLY if the right criteria have been met?
Why doesnât this stuff come with a warning that THAT is a possibility?
Iâm sure they just meant that the toothpaste tube bursts from internal pressure and not that is detonated.
Yâall are ignoring the fact that this scene is the leader of a air conditioning repair themed cult trying to indoctrinate Troy into their ranks.
