Jon flexed the fingers of his sword hand. The Night's Watch takes no part. He closed his fist and opened it again. What you propose is nothing less than treason. He thought of Robb, with snowflakes melting in his hair. Kill the boy and let the man be born. He thought of Bran, clambering up a tower wall, agile as a monkey. Of Rickon's breathless laughter. Of Sansa, brushing out Lady's coat and singing to herself. You know nothing, Jon Snow. He thought of Arya, her hair as tangled as a bird's nest. I made him a warm cloak from the skins of the six whores who came with him to Winterfell … I want my bride back … I want my bride back … I want my bride back …
"I think we had best change the plan" Jon Snow said.
When you have the time, I think it would be cool an art of dany, arya, margaery, arianne and asha together
Ok, I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Allegory of Good Government painted by Ambrogio Lorenzetti in 1338 in Siena (Italy)... but it's part of one of my favorite fresco cycles so I brutally copied it.
Daenerys: the reference was Justice Enthroned and I put her in the center where the Common Good sat.
I have greatly simplified the original allegory leaving only the four cardinal virtues with their respective medieval iconographies.
Asha: in the place of Fortitude, with shield and ax (originally a mace). I think this explains itself.
Arianne: in the place Prudence, cause I thought it was funny how much this virtue contrasts with the character. But also she holds a mirror, that represents the importance of interpreting the past, reading the present and predicting the future. And it's intriguing to reflect how the past and the promise of future are very linked both to the character and to the storyline of Dorne in particular.
Arya: in the place of Justice (again, because coherence in the Middle Ages had not yet been invented). With a sword, a crown and a skull (the original one was a severed head, but I didn't know whose head it could be, so I went generic).
Margaery: in the place of Temperance with the hourglass as a sign of wise use of time. Because it speaks about the Tyrells' ability to work together to achieve a stable and powerful position by adjusting the situation to suit themselves.
i just realized i put day 14 as theon and not tommen, but finishing affc made me want to draw tommen and kitties!! so i will do theon and asha for day 15 :)
