I wanted to be in the right frame of mind to read these two angst fests of the incomparable @jbaillier. I reached that state of mind this week, and devoured them both. They don’t call her the Demon Angst Mechanic for nothing. Spare, taut writing where the pain just oozes from every word.

It’s been six weeks since the demise of the notorious killer the Slash Man. Now Sherlock and John must work together to defeat Moriarty once and for all, in the greatest fight of their lives.
A crucial chapter posted this week, which draws the whole series together. A sense of the puzzle starting to fit together into one massive story. Kudos to a writer who can build a world for years and hundreds of thousands of words. (LOL- a writer after my own heart.

(78,396 words; chapters: 15/21) Inspired by the wondrous “Know You All Over Again” by the brilliant Poppy Alexander, this started as a way to cope with it’s hiatus, and quickly took on a life of its own. It is story of a painful break up. Two men are looking for ways to cope, to raise their 10 year old girl, to find reasons for going on. They need help of family and friends to make it through. Will each be able to do what the other needs? Will they be able to trust again? Sherlock and John must find themselves and unearth what went wrong, so they can build a new relationship.
I’m not usually one to like a lot of domesticity, but there is something very compelling in this story.

This is a fantastic work of art, both the story and the picture, so I recomend this to any johnlock fan.
