Mako wrapped an arm around both Scraggy and Jamison, hugging them both closer with a soft sound that might have been a laugh. He glanced down at the blonde when he spoke again, before nodding. Far be it from Mako to crush Jamie’s spirit.

“I’ve already met Scraggy, so why don’t ya show me your other two?”

The large man settled back a bit more, with Scraggy still snuggled against him comfortably. “Lemme see ‘em.” Mako said, waving his hand and leaning forward with interest. He was a little curious to see what Pokémon Junkrat would have thought were impressive enough to tag along.

Or at least, ones he liked.

         💣— Jamison smiled big and turned in Mako’s arms, facing away but still secured in the hug. “Mmmmm-” he bit hit his tongue as he shuffled through his pockets to get his other two Poke balls. 

  “Come on out guys.” 

        Both Pokemon were let out at the same time. The larger one being a Magmar and the other one an Voltorb. Magmar huffed out some smoke and rolled the Voltorb away with his foot. 

  It was obvious who the meanest of them were.

Mako couldn’t resist an amused snort when Magmar just rolled Voltorb away, arching a brow. “Seems like they get along well.” He commented, arching a brow. “How do they work as a team?”

When he was younger, Mako preferred double battles. It was just fun, watching your team work in tandem.

“Nice to meet you both, Magmar. Voltorb.” He greeted, patting Scraggy once on the head so the little pokemon knew he hadn’t been forgotten about. Mako leaned back somewhat, balancing Jamie in his arms as he did so.

“You don’t want a full team of six?” Mako asked curiously, glancing down at the blonde.

Mako chuckled softly when Ashe gave him a sort of bubble beard, watching the suds slowly drip off his face and onto his chest.

“You did good today, so we’ll say you deserve it.” He agreed, before leaning forward to snag one of the wash clothes.

The large man slowly began cleaning off Ashe’s slender frame. Mako could be gentle when he so desired, and his wash was accompanied by a massage of Ashe’s slender, tanned shoulders. “Just don’t fall asleep on me, ‘cause drying you off will be a pain in the ass.”

Of course, they’d take the bike home. Stupid question. Maybe the fumes of…the hospital getting to her. Or the hogdrogen. Or whatever medicine she’d been given while they stitched her up.

She missed him a lot. She knew Mako probably did, too. It was a lot quieter without him. But they’d probably be able to get out of here sooner without him causing problems. Problems that seemed to follow wherever he went. One of the any reasons they loved him. 

“We kinda match now!” she noted, glancing over at where her arm had been. It didn’t hurt as much to move now, the blood having dried and stopped leaking everywhere. 

“Cept now between the two of us, we got the same amount of arms as a normal person.”

“You do match now.” Mako agreed with a slight chuckle, leaning forward to press a kiss to the top of Ashe’s hair. He was just glad Ashe didn’t seem to be hurting too badly anymore.

Mako was getting antsy toward leaving, but he wasn’t going to until their hostage doctor said she could.

“We’ll be out of here soon enough. And then we can see just how much of a mess Jamie made of the place.” Mako sighed, but there was a definite fondness to his tone. Jamie was...a handful, to say the least. But Mako loved him for it.

His gaze returned to Ashe and he looked to the bloodied bandages. “We should change those soon.” Mako said, glancing to their hostage. “And make sure the stitches are holding. You up for it, Ashe?”

The smaller mermaid was squirming a lot more now, and Mako’s eyes darkened somewhat with his attempts to control his instincts outright. 

Mako blinked in surprise when Ashe said ‘please’ or some mangled form of the word. He watched her curl up with the beta mercreature, and he gave her a nod to show he understood.

“I...I don’t know where I’m supposed to fit.” Mako pointed out, looking to Jamie with an arched brow. “Not like I’ve ever mated with a mermaid before.” He added, but he couldn’t resist leaning forward and settling his nose in Jamie’s neck first.

The blonde smelled like seawater and underneath was his scent, and it was delicious. Mako then looked to Ashe, offering her a small smile. “If you can show me where to fit...won’t be able to control myself much longer with her scent.”

Mako’s lips actually twitched upward in a smile when Jamie informed him that he hated history. He appreciated honesty, always.

“Don’t worry, I’m not offended.” Mako assured Ashe, since she looked a little pale. His gaze returned to Jamie, a brow quirking up in barely restrained amusement.

“History isn’t for everyone...specially if you have teachers who are more focused on dates and figures than the actual story.” Mako said dismissively, before leaning back in his office chair.

Might as well be forward, the pair hadn’t run for it just yet.

“You here for extra credit?” Mako asked dryly, the inflection on his voice plainly obvious what he meant.

Well, Mako was much, much stronger than either of them were. She could definitely appreciate that as he moved the mattress the rest of the way out before the two of them headed back over to where the bike was. 

The bike. 

It was so pretty. They’d gone so fast in it! She liked the bike. And both of the boys. 

Watching Jamie do the most focusing she’d seen him do yet, Ashe let her hand find it’s way into Mako’s, glancing over at just how great the difference in their hand size was. He could probably hold like, ten of her hands in one of his! Ok, maybe not that many, but a lot! 

The area Jamie was working in seemed like a lot of fun. She’d always liked taking things apart to try to figure out how they worked. It seemed that hobby would be fairly encouraged here.

Mako glanced down when Ashe’s hand slowly slipped into his own, and he couldn’t resist a small smile behind his mask. Her hand was so tiny compared to his, but he squeezed her little hand anyway while Jamie focused on his work.

These times were one of the few when Junkrat’s attention was actually focused on one thing instead of several things. It was actually quite impressive to watch him work. Mako settled himself on the floor of the workshop, gently tugging down Ashe beside him so they could be silent company more or less.

If Jamie needed anything of him, then Mako would fetch it, or do the heavy lifting, as it were. Junkrat could handle a lot of weight on his back with that fucking tire, it was just easier for Mako to do it. “Need anything, Jamie?”

She also recognized just who it was that had beaten her to it.

Mako’s eyes settled on the female demon, arching a brow slightly.

He knew her...he was pretty sure she was in his garrison, one of the demons specifically used for undercover work on Earth and sometimes in hell. Mako couldn’t resist a slight smirk, leaning forward to study the soldier with an amused expression.

“No, no...Ashe, isn’t it? Please, you seemed like you were heading straight for us. Or perhaps Jamison here, more like.” Mako chuckled, looking back to the jester with a small smirk.

Not that he could blame her, of course, Mako had walked over for the sole purpose of flirting with Satan’s jester, so he was in the same boat. “Thank you for the compliment, Jamison...you look confused.” Mako said, his attention settling back on the other demon. “Something the matter?”

“How do you even know what a chinchilla is?” Mako asked with an amused snort, rolling his eyes. He was pretty sure they didn’t have chinchillas back home. Jamie was full of weird facts, he shouldn’t question it anymore.

Mako smiled slightly at the sight of the younger man, motioning for Jamie to come over to him so he could smooth down the mess that Jamie’s hair had become.

“They are. Specially when I get t’ see you.” Mako grinned remorselessly, tugging off his mask just to press a kiss to Jamie’s mouth.

He headed to shower himself, stepping out ten minutes later and settling onto the bed, where he was sure Jamie had already made himself comfortable. “Gotta start planning soon.” Mako murmured, although he was feeling lazy.

Being on a boat tended to make one appreciate a stable bed.

As he wiped his own mouth of salt and grease Jamie pondered how this food wasn’t considered fancy. So there was better food, then? And that food was considered fancy?

How intriguing. He couldn’t wait to try more.

Walking alongside his bodyguard he felt large fingers slip in between his own thin ones and lightly squeezed the hand holding his, turning a grinning face to the bank as they neared it.

“Tha’ sounds awfully borin’, mate. Sure we can’t jus’ run in there an take what’s ours?”

“No.” Mako responded with a snort of amusement. “This isn’t some shitty bank in the middle of Australia anymore.” He reminds his employer with a nod toward the large building right across from what he assumed was the museum. 

It was much more imposing the closer they got to it.

“We gotta find a way in...and mark where the guards are and when they change. I ain’t planning on dying here, and I ain’t planning on letting you die here either. So, we’re going to make a plan and figure out how to get in. We’re not walking in the front door.”

With that, Mako slowly began heading closer, angling himself toward the town hall like some sort of fucking tourist.
