Please elaborate on Darkrai’s martyr complex.
In the games, it isolates itself so no one gets hurt by its nightmares. This isn't as bad as some of the other examples (Cresselia at least keeps it company), but still.
In Z-A, it isolates itself in its own pocket dimension to make sure no one else gets hurt when it knows it's going to rogue mega evolve. It seem really set on suffering alone and only seems to admit that it needs help when forced to through sheer pain.
Different continuity, but in the movies he literally straight-up gets beaten to death while protecting a town from two gods (he gets better but like. geez)
In Pokepark 2, when someone needs to sacrifice themself to stop a black hole, it does it immediately (it was kind of its fault this time in a roundabout way but still)
In the Journeys anime two-parter it gets electrocuted so Cresselia doesn't
It really does come across like it thinks very little of itself and is happy to suffer as long as it means others don't.
