I mean, don't get me wrong... i like the animated film, but i like this version better. Every change they made, the concept, the additional & eliminated characters, the signature move, the flow of the story... some things made more sense... thus making the film more relatable and real. The animated film has its own appeal and i admit there are some parts they can add that could've made some scenes from the live-action more epic, like the bowing of the whole nation to Mulan & they could've put more emphasis to the trio (yao, chienpo, ling). But that's really okay though, they focused more on the main character and her growth as a person and as a warrior. I like the concept of the Chi & Phoenix and the development between Mulan & Honghui (supposedly Capt. Li Shang). Coz in the movie only mulan was salivating over li shang lol anyways, i don't really mind the singing but i can't deny, i like the "less singing, more fighting" more. i ♥♥♥ the overall movie.
I’m just gonna make this brief okay. SHAZAM! is AWHSHAM!
I’m not really that familiar about the character so i was super focused during the screening lol and just when i thought it was all laughter and butt-kicking, it still made me tear-up a little at the end. nice one. HA!
All the artists played their role really well... and just seeing the movie, it somehow made me feel like a kid too XD
~also, all i know about Zachary is his character on Thor and Alvin & the Chipmunks. And of course, being the voice of Flynn Rider on the Disney Movie Tangled and sang “I See the Light” with Mandy Moore (which is one of my favorite Disney songs)... and nothing else really. But i think Warner Bros. did a really good job casting him. He’s perfect for the role!
Orayt? I’m out! *sha-ZOOOOM!*
***IMPORTANT TIP:
there are 2 post credit scenes so make sure to stay after credit rolls.
I haven’t posted for quite some time now because of my studies, but this movie are one of those that can get your adrenaline rush going. So right after i got home, i go straight to my laptop and here i am... XD
I knew this film will be good from the trailer so when i saw it i already jot this down on my “to watch list”. But i never expected it to be THIS good! (I never really paid that much attention i just wanted to keep my promise to my cousin that we’ll gonna watch this together.)
But boy was i thankful for making that promise. Tenfolds even. This is my kind of movie! (i usually watch movies with this genre combination - action/sci-fi ; fantasy/adventure) However, in spite of all that, there’s only a handful of films i can say ‘I am satisfied’. All the movies these past few years didn’t really sent shivers down my spine as much as this one. I mean, it caught my eye but didn’t actually made an impact. But this, struck me to the core. It’s so action packed I felt so full with all the battle scenes i burped twice. It’s innocent, it’s exhilarating, it’s tragic but overpowering, and other elements i couldn’t quite point out yet. And did I already say it’s exhilarating? Sorry i just had to say it twice. HA! You just have to watch to know. I swear this needs more recognition. I’m already waiting for the second part!
During credit roll I saw for the first time that this movie was actually based on a Japanese cyberpunk manga entitled Gunnm (銃夢 Ganmu, literally “gun dream”) by Yukito Kishiro which also had an Animé adaptation and now, a live-action adaptation.
Simply. The. BEST. (not comparing to the past transformers film. i'm saying this at bumblebee movie as a stand alone movie.)
I secretly want another sequel but i guess it's gonna be just this... since i reckon the timeline after this one will be the one with shia and megan fox (transformers 1st movie).
Zzzz I don't know how many robin hood movies i have already watched in my entire life... So when i heard this news, i was like "WHAT?! another robin hood movie????"
BUT since it’s taron, and most of his films that i watched so far are great, i might well take the time to see it.
I thought it's gonna be boring, i thought it's gonna be cliché... I thought wrong. It's not the same old robin hood that we got used to hearing over and over, it's in a whole new different angle. Action packed, a love story that will get you all engrossed with even if you're not a fan of romance stories like me 😂 and just the right amount of humour.
I can say it’s a must watch if you love classic movies. But not one of those “most awaited movies of the year” so if you are saving up moolah, just wait for the online release.
I am not sure if they will make a sequel for it, but the ending for me hints it may or it may not. So i guess they are basing on how the masses will take it.
The deadly, wisecracking Leprechaun is back in all his gory glory. When the sorority sisters of the Alpha Upsilon house decide to go green and use an old well as their water source, they unwittingly awaken a pint-sized, green-clad monster. The Leprechaun wants a pot of gold buried near the sorority house, but first, he must recover his powers with a killing spree—and only the girls of AU can stop him.
Omg major flashback happening rn 😆
This might be one of the first horror films i have ever watched. And this film from lionsgate is said to be a direct sequel from the original 1993 movie and set to be released on december 11th.

watched Venom last full show on the day of its release and O. M. G. its my first time feeling so incomplete yet somehow satisfied.. What is this feeling lol uhmmm..... how to describe? incomplete because for me its still lacking action... God who doesnt want more action, but its weird coz at the end of the movie its a triple thumbs up for me if i have another extra hand.
Notice: There are two after credit scenes but you just need to watch the first one... And WHEW! no words.. I... My heart just.... the new... Oops. Okay lets end it at that 😂 just make sure to watch the first after credit. The next one.. Its not really related to venom, so its up to you if you still want to wait.
Before watching any future Marvel film, you have to see Ant-man & the Wasp! Why?
(don't worry no spoilers)
... But first, just some advice before watching the film...
*Make sure you watched the first sequel of the movie.
*Be certain you have seen the Avengers Civil War & Infinity War.
-you wouldn't know what's going on in the whole of the film if you haven't watched those. Everything in general is mostly connected to those three films.
and YES. Even though you are not a fan of antman, and only chose to watch your favorite marvel superheroes but still give 5¢ of care in what's going on in the MCU... You have to watch ant man & the wasp first before you head to the premiere of the next Marvel movie you've been waiting so long to get released.
I believe what happened in ant man & the wasp movie will play a very vital role in future marvel films.
-Ant-man & the Wasp has 2 post credit scene. So stay until the end of credit rolls! 😁
I made Hanami Dango and Mitarashi Dango using what is currently available in our kitchen (but i’ll also add optional ingredients if ever you have them). I didn’t plan to make this, I thought about it the last minute and just made it on the spot... xD Because I made Ginataang Bilo-Bilo (sticky rice balls with coco milk; a filipino dessert) the other day and i still got two boxes left. I didn’t know what to do with them so here’s what I came up with.
JUST A QUICK INFO:
Dango is one of the many traditional Japanese mochi sweets. Small round mochi balls are skewered on bamboo sticks often served with green tea. It doesn’t really have any flavor so it’s often accompanied with sauce or a drink.
Hanami Dango is usually eaten in spring season during hanami “flower viewing”, it has three colors... pink (cherry blossom), white (rice wine) and green (mugwort leaf), all reminiscent of spring.
Mitarashi Dango is said to be named after the bubbles of the mitarashi (a purifying water) of a famous shrine. It was thought to be made as an offering for the gods at this shrine during the 14th century. Covered with gooey sweet and salty brown sauce, it is characterized by its glassy glaze and burnt fragrance.
Sweetened Rice Flour of Rice Flour (I didn’t have it at the moment so i used the Ginataang Bilo-Bilo mix instead, it includes coconut cream powder but i just kept it for future use)
Tofu (400g) optional
1 cup water
Food Color (red & green)
Bamboo Sticks
FOR THE MITARASHI SAUCE:
2 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch (i don’t have that time so i used flour instead)
1/2 cup sugar
5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 cup water (240ml)
SERVES: 9 skewers. 27pcs.
PROCEDURE:
**Here’s the Bilo-Bilo mix
Step 1: Make your dough using the bilo-bilo mix. Its consistency must not be watery and not too dry. To check if it’s okay put a handful on your palm and close your hand, if the dough is just firm and holding on to each other then that’s just about right. Should be like this:
**TIP: do this in room temperature, turn off your aircon or electric fan. The dough will dry out and get hard. If this happens slightly wet your hands with water and start kneading the dough again.
Step 2: Cut the dough in half. The 1st half, roll it on your palm to make it ball shaped. Once finished, cut the 2nd half evenly into 3 parts. The 1st part leave it as it is. 2nd part add red color then mold in to balls. 3rd part add green food color and do the same.
**TIP: wash your hands from time to time because some of the dough will dry on your palm and it will stick on the ball and will leave a sandy texture on the surface. Do it if you want to make a smooth shaped ball; The food colors, just add a drop or add more if you want a more brighter tone.
-They should all look like this:
Step 3: In a pot, enough to sink all the dough balls, bring water to a boil. Once you see the water bubbling, toss in the balls.
**TIP: Once they are inside the pot, stir immediate because the dango will stick at the bottom of the pot. Stir only the sides of the bowl to not damage or dent the dangos. Wait and stir from time to time.
while waiting for it to get cooked, prepare a large bowl with cold water. And a plate lined with paper towel. You’ll know that the dangos are cooked if they float. Once they are cooked, leave it for another 3 more minutes.
Remove the dango balls using a strainer, colander or a ladle then quickly place it in the bowl with cold water. Leave there for around 2 minutes and put them on the plate, the paper towel will absorb the water.
Step 4: While the dango is drying out... make the Mitarashi sauce by adding the water and all the other ingredients together. Keep mixing until it thickens and the consistency is like honey.
**TIP: Make sure to set your stove in low heat to not burn the sauce.
Step 5: Separate the dango balls you’ll make as mitarashi and hanami. Slide 3 dango balls on each skewers. Set aside the hanami dangos. Then heat the mitarashi dango on a non-stick frying pan. Cook until slightly browned.
Step 6: Prepare plates, put the hanami dango on to them, as well as the mitarashi dango and drizzle the warm mitarashi sauce on top. SERVE.
YUMMMMMMM!!!
~~you can make the taste of the sauce to your liking as well. Experiment and try dipping them on other sauces too! I heard they’re good with chocolates ;)
