I don't actually have an issue with romance routes being genderlocked, I think sexuality is good characterization, but if you wanna take it seriously, I think the correction for time lost has to look like the "straight" characters realising that they're gay halfway through their route and breaking it off

I still don't understand the Anders fans that act like he is peak progressive guy when what's cool about Anders is that he sucks ass and is unpleasant to be around and had internalized most of the chantry teachings he wants to fight against. If he was nicer and a better person he would be boring.

Okay so, I do not like Jowan. Sorry if you do, no hate, just not for me. So I was surprised to discover just how passionately and vehemently people in the fandom love Jowan (and Tamlen but this isn't about him), because my interpretation of the game is that you aren't being set up to like Jowan. He's whiny in both voice acting and dialogue, he's lying to you, he cuts and runs on his girlfriend, and his general presentation does not cue to me "this is a character we are supposed to like."

HOWEVER, I am historically a hater of fan favorite characters (I know the general player is supposed to like Astarion from BG3), so I'm wondering if I'm just not reading the room and wanted to poll for a more comprehensive take
