I’m alive trust I will make a specific backshot for SOMEONE (cough cough) …art block sorta. I just couldn’t draw anything until now when I discussed church era Ia and Serenity from apple and thought. Hm. How’d they look like?

so. I headcanon the Temple to be rather traditional and let’s face it, rather behind in some values (the whole purity thing?? or the pregnancy before wedding is ukulele apology worthy by an npc) including gender roles as in dress feminine if you are born F and masculine if you are born M.

So Ia who’s born female wants to just fit in somewhere in this current period of time where they are struggling with their angelic identity and existence. They opt to wear feminine clothes so as to match their birth sex and fit in (it doesn’t bother them honestly, but they wouldn’t do it of their own volition) so nun habit and long hair!!

They were viewed as a prime member and model of what a church member should be, Ia rarely faced harassment because of their already tall stature and in the times they did get accosted, well, they didn’t let anyone step on them.

(Yes current Ia only wearing suits pants and having short messy hair is an attempt to separate and forget their Temple times. They still have the nun veil because they still can’t let go of said times, much to their own disgust.)
