When I see people saying that if you hate Near but love L then you are a hypocrite, but I am just here twiddling my thumbs because like Light, I too got annoyed by the impersonation with the mask. No actual hate to Near or anything but if Light had to be stopped, I 100% wanted it to be done by L's hands and if not then I wanted Light to win.

I am hoping that with my rewatch, I can finally let myself see Near as a new character and not as a replacement. He was so baby lamb coded.

I saw a tiktok about studying psychology and the caption was like before and after learning about Freud, with the student getting more frustrated and stressed but I feel like this is an inaccurate portrayal of psychology students. Freud is someone who is extremely interesting to study because all of his theories have been proven wrong , but the reason we are still taught them is because they lead to major developments in sciences.

Also, wouldn't it be fascinating for a psychology student to witness Freud's own hypocrisy. I feel like if you did psychoanalysis in him, he would be the best test subject. For example, this is the very man who claimed that Lesbianism is caused by poor father daughter relationships, whilst have a lesbian daughter. Is he not just calling himself out for being a terrible father?

But I mean, that's just my opinion. I personally enjoy talking about Freud.

One thing about death note that I always find funny is how L tends to get away with the most suspicious behaviour. Putting a bunch of cameras in Light's room, tying up and blindfolding Misa, handcuffing himself to Light, touching Misa's butt in attempts to get her phone, etc. No one seems to bat an eye (other than Misa who calls him a pervert and Light who is bothered by it as it messes with his plans) and I find that truly amusing.

L will never escape the pervert allegations.
