If I had a nickel for any time a bigoted weirdo channeled his daddy issues on Dante, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's infuriating it's happened twice.

I knew like 3 things about the series when I started and all of them were from dmc5. I spent a lot of time missing Vergil... before he wrecked my property and beat my ass 10000 times
the streets are sayin the netflix fans thinks dante in the games is ugly… I BEG YOUR FINEST PARDON?!
Oh my god... can the people stop connecting the Netfix show with the games! They belong in their own universes and don't drag both sides of different-same fandom🤦♀️
I'm tired of this. Let the game fans to enjoy the games and stop draging Netflixvania fans into this. This isn't their buisness to drag Rose Belmont into this.
I miss you genderfluid despair embodied Argosax
Sigh i still like it more than that. Yo what is with the chin and second mouth???
And there's also this but its... not very impressive in comparison
Sorry fine shyt
Argosax's Despair Embodied design draws a lot from alchemic imagery, specifically the symbols of perfections in alchemy.
Shifting between genders references the Rebis, an entity that is both male and female, a symbol which can be seen on the Medaglia Arcana that was used to seal them.
You can also see it in the room where Arius intends to resurrect Argosax (sorry the only good look at it is in gifs of the "here's your crown" scene) implying that it's a symbol for Argosax.
The second symbol is the sun. In alchemy the sun is connected to gold, the "perfect metal" and has the symbolism of incorruptibility. This can clearly been seen with the wings of the Despair Embodied.
In addition, the sun and moon overlapping is ANOTHER symbol of perfection, as the sun is characterised as masculine while the moon is feminine. And what is needed for the ritual to revive Argosax?
An eclipse!
For all it's faults, DMC2 did have a lot of thought put into it and Argosax is a great example of that. To throw that all away to replace it with a generic demon is extremely frustrating and shows how little care the people behind NDMC had for the series.
So you're trying to tell me that they emphasized Lady's heterochromia in the Netflix series, which she inherited from her mother (unlike DMC 3, which kind of made it clear before it was even mentioned in the game that the hot-tempered girl and the bald guy had a relationship), and after her death at the hands of Arkham, her eyes also became heterochromatic. All this only to reveal at the end that Sparda sealed the "Makai" alone without anyone's help (unlike the original, which had help from a priestess who preceded Lady and her mother Kalina), killing what could be a huge representation for Lady and her development (and possibly explaining why she can survive things IMPOSSIBLE FOR A NORMAL HUMAN – seriously, she's starting to look like Dante and his cursed regeneration), besides giving some further explanation, something I'd really like to know. But don't leave it at that, it's better to just focus on how badass Vergil is and show him being graphically tortured and manipulated by Mundus. And screw Dante, he's not going to win any fights this season.
I won't even delve into the fact that they got Lady's eye color wrong, since it's quite clear (at least to me and the 2007 anime) that her eyes are red and blue. You could even say greenish-blue, but damn, in my head that was perfectly clear from the reference they made to it in DMC 3. But I doubt that the man who had the audacity to get angry because he wasn't going to "save" the franchise anymore would care enough about the design and etymology of a character as awesome as Lady.
(I apologize if this isn't clear, English is not my first language.)
I hope DMC6 has demons as all bosses and villains all over and they're all evil as hell.🤣
What we need as a fandom in order to heal from the Netflix show is a proper anime adaptation of DMC1 novel. We need it.

Devil May Cry 5/ Devil May Cry 1 novel
Papa Sparda enacting Mama Eva's will and protecting Dante through Rebellion.🥹❤️
Rebellion helped Dante forget the trauma and his name so he could live protected and away from Mundus's minions looking for him. And it worked. They saved Dante. They made sure Dante had ten years of relative peace before he was hunted.
(verlir au) he’s trying i suppose

But also like. Wtf counts as a "high-ranking demon", in this show? That Fallen that Mary killed when she was like, 14, using nothing but a normal handgun with normal lead bullets? (Which was bullshit, btw, at least if we go by the games lore. Guns don't do shit to the Fallen until you break their wings shield, and to do THAT, you need a melee weapon, like a sword or similar. They're too quick for the Kalina Ann to damage them, unless you can get them to stand still. They can phase through walls. The spears they use can explode. Mary should not of been able to handle a demon like that before she joined up with Darkcom. Or afterwards, tbh, without the use of a sword or melee weapon- but if we really must.)
Like. What kinds of "high-ranking demons" has Nante even gone up against? Show us the kill list, Adi. Because based on how routinely Nante has gotten his ass handed to him in this shit show, I don't believe it!
He killed 1 high rank demon with brute strength by himself that we know of and that was Agni. We can count Cavaliere if you want but Nante was kinda getting his ass handed to him until he closed the portal on Cav's head. And in S2? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. This fucking show I swear. If I wasn't laughing about it I would be more angry.
According to the show, the only named example of him killing a demon is an Abyss, the final normal enemy from DMC3.
Which if it was actually comparable to the versions from the games would be pretty decent. Except these guys would easily destroy the White Rabbit's entourage because they're supposed to be the high ranking elite of the demon armies, while the Rabbit's idiots are all with him specifically because they're weak and oppressed so if Dante could beat an Abyss then none of them would be threats to him. But instead it's some chucklefuck that was shot to death, like every other demon without an expensive voice actor.
Also this is a funny tidbit from the fandom wiki for the games.
Girl with the gall and the gall and the girl and
Me: Netflix can't possibly make a DMC anime adaptation that bad.
Said DMC anime: But did you know these literal demons from literal hell are an allegory for refugees and if they enter 'Murica, humans will suffer "genocide"? They also eat humans.
Me: That's enough Netflix for today.
