Bandai Japan Announces Tamagotchi Original Tama Destinations

Japan is getting more exclusive Tamagotchi Original shells! Welcome Tama Destinations, a series of Tamagotchi Original shells themed on food and culture from all over Japan!

It is important to note that each Bandai Namco Cross store is carrying different shells that pertain to that area of Japan! Meaning you can’t just pick up all 4 of them at your local store, you’ll have to travel around a bit to get the full experience.

First is a Kanto, a Tamagotchi Original P1 reddish pink glittery shell that features Mametchi and Kuchipatchi wearing flowers on their head, a flip phone, shopping baskets and more! Priced at ¥3,080 including tax with a release date of Saturday, February 8th, 2025 and available for purchase at Bandai Namco Stores in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Koshigaya Lake Town (which is scheduled to open Spring 2025).

Second is Kansai, a Tamagotchi Original P1 yellow glittery shell that features Mametchi and Kuchipatchi, dumplings, octopus, and more! Priced at ¥3,080 including tax with a release date of Saturday, February 8th, 2025 and available for purchase at the Bandai Namco Store in Osaka Umeda.

Third is Kyushu, a Tamagotchi P1 faint pink glittery shell that features Mametchi and Kuchipatchi eating, a lantern, and a bowl of delicious ramen! Priced at ¥3,080 including tax with a release date of Saturday, February 8th, 2025 and available for purchase at the Bandai Namco Store in Hakatauchi.

Fourth is Tohoku, a Tamagotchi P1 green glittery shell that features Mametchi and Kuchipatchi, bamboo, streamers, and more! Priced at ¥3,080 including tax with a release date of Spring 2025 and available for purchase at the Bandai Namco Store in Sendai.

Fifth is Tokai, a Tamagotchi P1 pink glittery shell that features Mametchi and Kuchipatchi, along with coffee, sushi, and toast with jelly and butter. This kind of response always fascinates me, so while I've got you here, can I just ask: legal by what standards? Do you mean real world standards, where laws vary from country to country, and in the case of the US, state to state? Or do you mean the fictitious laws set in place in the fictional setting of the ship? What standard exactly should we use to tell people "you're not allowed to enjoy this fictional thing?"

I know you didn't mean any harm by your response, but I feel it's important to reiterate that nothing gives anyone the right to police what people do in a fictional setting, full stop. Because at the end of the day, it's fiction, it's a fantasy, none of it is real, and so real world rules and standards do not apply. So, as long as you are not actively causing harm in a real world setting (i.e. harassing real people over fictional ships) then you do you.
