Childe has really lived a wild life here tbh. He was a normal happy kid that enjoyed spending time with his family and ice fishing, then he fell into hell, kicked hells ass, crawled back out having to deal with the fact that he’s Different Now and there’s nothing he can do about it, got sent to the army cause he was getting too violent, and then basically got told ‘ok so you have a job now, and it’s basically half paperwork, half murder. LITERALLY. Where's my Northland Bank gang centric fic about them being dumped with an overpowered, PTSD-riddled teenager who has enough political power to squash a small country and being told "this is your boss" like.

I want Childe hating himself for not being a good big brother and pushing himself too hard too fast to live up to being a Harbinger and his employees fielding idiots who try to hurt this kid out of jealousy.

I want Childe spending his first few days just shredding his paperwork out of pure rage and being brought before the literal archon to be scolded, I want Childe accidentally isolating himself by being so overpowered and not realizing it at first, I want Vlad and Ekaterina and the others seeing past it and making an effort to help him anyways.

I want Childe arriving in the economic center of the whole world and hating it because he never even wanted to leave the small town where he was raised. And I want him to be loved and cherished and realize that even though Liyue is big and loud and different, he can find something like family and love and a good life here all the same.

I think hydro isn't quite justice as it is the desire to do the right/just thing (moreso than others lol). Xingqiu has his whole mini vigilante shtick, Mona refuses to use astrology for a quick buck, Barbara heals people, Kokomi is Leading the rebellion against the vision hunt decree...

Not too sure about Childe though. That guy's unpredictable.

To be completely fair the whole 'who gets which vision' seems to be less on some kind of lore detail/fact than it is just Mihoyo looking at the current pool of characters and going 'aight so we need another [insert element]'. There are a few people whose vision justification is very Meh (I'm thinking Fischl's take on electro vision being about protecting things as her whole personna thing; or Eula 'losing' a loved one via her Aristocratic family perhaps? It's a little blurry), and it also explains why there's a lot more Pyro characters too (Pyro's thing being some form of passion/drive for their dreams? Very vague and could be bended in a lot of ways). But overall, I'd say to not put too much thought into it. I don't think we'll ever be getting a concrete definition for them.
