Nothing about her gender is mentioned in the new movie as far as I can tell (it isn't out yet at time of submitting), but it's based on The Princess Knight/Ribon no Koshi, and the original incarnation of Sapphire is implied gender fluid, so imo it makes sense for this version of her to be gender fluid too lol. Also, her magical girl form (left) is a lot more masc/androgynous than her civilian form (right).

She was given the heart of both a boy *and* a girl by an angel. Their parents raised them as a boy publicly and a girl in private, so he considers himself to be both.
Is referred to with she/her pronouns for the first part of the manga then he/him after that. Is so gender that he is headcanoned as trans woman, trans man, nonbinary. Lots of trans headcanons. Her being genderfluid would fit

Clarification:
With lgbt+, I include anything you can think of basically. Lesbian, gay, bi, asexual, aromantic, pansexual, intersex, xenogenders. However, this is only for non-canon identities. If they are canonically lgbt, then I recommend @do-you-know-this-queer-character and @douknowthisgaydisabledcharacter . You can also put canon trans characters into this spreadsheet! It's on comment-only at the moment.
This is all meant in good fun. Providing a reason for your claim is more exciting, but you can submit based on vibes or because you want to. When a character is submitted for multiple labels, I usually separate them into different polls.

Canonically genderqueer (uses feminine terms to refer to zemself, is the literal blueprint for DeathToll, the canon transfem Cancer Saint of Next Dimension) but unlike DT zeir introduction focuses on how binary breaking xei are (I quote: “beyond life and death, good and evil”) (cmon a lil “male and female” would end that presentation nicely wouldn’t it?)

Canonically genderqueer, implied nonbinary but the genderfluid label specifically is a hc, so it’s up to you to decide if it’s enough to be considered implied or not. Also unfortunately zeir queerness did not make it to the anime or most spin offs, hence why I linked a pic of the original manga. (And also why zey are exclusively referred as a man in… practically everything actually :/)
uhm it feels a little weird to include gren from cowboy bebop because he canonically was nonconsenually experimented by the military on resulting in him being accidentally trans. he's cis but a victim
i don’t pick the characters i post, they’re submitted to me through an anonymous form, just like any other poll blog of this style. i try to do surface level research into the characters, but i’ve never NOT posted something someone submitted. my only hard lines on characters are very clearly stated in two places. even with my very basic understanding of their backstory, i found a few sites where other people agreed with the headcanon of gren being gender fluid, so i still posted it. it’s a headcanon, meaning that it’s just one interpretation of the character. if you don’t think they’re gender fluid, then there are two options on the polls to say that.
