My favorite thing about fan art for tadc is that no one knows what Caine's skin color is, so simply instead of just assuming. Oh, no. No assumptions here. Everyone somehow collectively decided to make it the grey and white checkered squares that you see for a transparent background. And it's the best thing ever. Keep drawing fan art guys.
After Alastor treated Vox so harshly that one night at the bar, he apologized and reasoned that he hadn't been himself. Vox forgave him and they became close friends.

"Now, as our great and glorious King Lucifer announced, from now on until all of eternity holy exorcists will rain down upon the wayward Sinners to slay us wretched souls", Alastor spoke into his microphone, his posture and voice as relaxed and nonchalant like he'd not just voiced the promise of death for every Sinner who listened to his broadcast.
"But don't worry, VoxTek will have you covered!", Vox leaned over Alastor's shoulder and into the mic. "Cause we're working on-"
"I missed the part where this is your show, Vox", Alastor told his friend but snickered at the TV head's antics as he half-heartedly pushed him away. "Now get lost!"
"Nope, you're stuck with me, deer boy!", Vox cackled and pulled the second chair closer, before leaning into the mic again, one of his arms draping over the backrest of Alastor's chair.
"As you are preparing for the exorcists to come on New Year's Eve, VoxTek is working on a security system to keep you safe! VoxTek! Trust Us with your life!", the Media Demon spoke into the microphone, before Alastor pushed him away at last.
"I never agreed to my broadcast becoming an advertisement for your little clown show!", the deer demon teased his friend, before addressing his listeners again. "In any case, we are ending tonight’s broadcast with some calm tunes to put our minds at ease in the face of upcoming doom. I'm delighted to have been your host today and wish you a troublesome night!"
"And I'll be back!", Vox crooned into the microphone, before Alastor could end the broadcast.
Once Alastor had ended it, though, he stared at his friend a playfully annoyed expression and crossed his arms. "How funny you are, dear", he said, though his voice vibrated with a barely contained chuckle.
Vox's screen flickered into a smug, pixelated grin – wide and utterly pleased with himself – as he swiveled his chair to face Alastor fully.
"Oh, come on," Vox huffed, waving a hand dramatically. "You loved it! Admit it!" His voice dropped to an exaggerated whisper as he leaned in again. "Nobody does endorsements like me."
A beat passed before his expression softened just slightly – a rare crack in the bravado – and added quietly: "...And you didn’t actually mind me being on air with you?"
"Of course not, my dear box-head", Alastor chuckled and stood up.
As always, Vox noticed just how thin the deer demon was. How the red cardigan clung to his boney shoulders and bunched at his small waist.
"Box head, huh?", Vox mused, his eyes following Alastor's movements closely as he stood. He couldn't help but notice the loose fit of the other's cardigan.
Vox's smile was more crooked than usual, a mix of genuine affection and a hint of something deeper. He stood and closed the distance between them, gently straightening the fabric of Alastor's collar.
"You're still as skinny as ever, you know", he murmured. "You should eat more."
"You know that doesn't work", Alastor answered and looked down at Vox's hands fixing his collar.
Vox's hands stilled, fingertips lingering near Alastor's collarbone, a light and comforting touch. His gaze drifted up to meet Alastor's, his expression a mixture of fondness and concern.
"Yeah, I know", he murmured, "but that won't stop me from telling you to try."
Vox's fingers trailed down, adjusting the fabric a bit more before they rested on Alastor's waist, just above his belt.
"Still, you're practically made out of twigs."
The demon chuckled and leaned his forehead against Vox'.
"No satiation for a wendigo", he hummed and rested one hand over Vox's at his waist.
Vox's screen flickered – just for a second – before dimming into something softer, less performative. His hands stayed where they were, warm against Alastor’s waist.
"Yeah," he muttered after a beat, voice quieter now. "Guess that makes sense."
A pause. Then:
"...Still wish you could eat though."
"It is how it is", he hummed and wrapped his arms around Vox's neck, before snapping his fingers.
Slowly, the radio on the dresser next to them came to life and began to play a calm, tranquil tune.
"How about a little dance?", the deer demon asked quietly and looked at his friend.
Vox let out a soft noise of surprise when Alastor wrapped his arms around him, though he quickly recovered, a sly grin spreading on his screen.
"You're such a sap, deer boy ", he teased, but made no effort to pull away, instead leaning into the embrace.
Once the music started playing, Vox's expression softened even more as he raised a brow at Alastor's suggestion.
"A dance, huh? Is there any particular reason?"
Alastor simply shook his head gently and bowed his neck.
"Just seems like the right thing to do at the moment", he said, his voice low and soft, as if he was afraid to break the tranquility between them.
Vox's screen dimmed at that, and he felt something in him soften impossibly further, the usually sharp lines of his features melting into something more intimate.
Without a word, he slipped his arms around Alastor's waist and pulled him closer, their bodies almost flush. He began to sway lightly to the music.
"You do know you're a real sentimental fool, right?", Vox murmured, the words teasing, but the tone so very fond.
"I think I'm right in my assumption that you don't mind", he answered with a smile, soft and so unlike what Hell got to see from him.
"...Maybe I don't", Vox murmured, eyes roaming over Alastor's features. That soft, unguarded smile was a rare thing to witness, and Vox took every chance he got to memorize it to the smallest detail.
He pulled him a bit closer, their bodies almost flush now. One of his hands slid up to the small of Alastor's back, just holding him there, warm against the thin fabric of the cardigan.
"But I still stand by my statement. You are a fool . A soft, tender-hearted fool."
Alastor just fondly rolled his eyes, before letting them fall shut. "Performing for everyone gets tiring when you're always hungry", he mumbled and ran his hand over the back of Vox's neck.
Vox hummed in agreement, his hand on Alastor's back beginning to draw idle patterns.
There it was. The hunger that was always present, yet still so hidden from outsiders. Vox didn't know exactly how starved Alastor was always feeling, but he'd seen the pain and exhaustion in those tired red eyes.
"You really got the short end of the stick, didn't you", he whispered, voice rough around the edges.
"I suppose", he hummed and stifled a yawn behind his hand as the music faded out.
Vox noted the yawn, the slight exhaustion behind the gesture. He knew that Alastor, despite his efforts, didn't sleep very often, and the constant hunger and fatigue would only worsen that issue.
"Tired?", he asked quietly, his hand rubbing comforting circles at the nape of the other's neck.
"Perhaps", he muttered and rested his chin on his friend's shoulder.
Vox didn't hesitate. He shifted his stance, one arm sliding under Alastor's knees as the other stayed firm around his back.
"Then let’s get you to bed", he said simply, already lifting him without waiting for protest.
"Mrrr", he murmured as he rested his head against Vox's screen. "You're warm..."
Vox huffed and rolled his eyes, though his expression held no real annoyance. He carried Alastor over to his bed and carefully set him down, taking an extra second to ensure he'd settled comfortably.
"And you're a clingy fawn", he retorted, but there was no heat behind the words, if anything, he sounded amused, fond.
Alastor fell asleep almost immediately when his head settled onto his pillow and Vox draped the blanket over him.
The TV demon then turned off the lights and closed the blinds, before he left his friend's house and closed the door with a soft click.
